Funny - considering I took out four players not in this weekend's tournament..... Didn't I?!!!

Probably looked at the wrong weekend!

My theory that a 9 darter is harder than a 147 takes a bashing on days like today.

Did you see how much they got for their 9 darters? Bet they could throttle Colin Lloyd.

peanuts
i think its harder too.if you take taylor out of the equation then its a pretty rare event on the telly at least.
i think in the next few years you will see a helluva lot more and the theory will go the other way

The difference is you can fluke a 147, remember Cliff Thorburn's first red all those years ago.... But you can't fluke a 9 dart finish.....

Aye, first red is a fluke, so all the 35 other shots count for jack

36 chances for a 147 to go wrong. Its miles harder!!!! Its just Snooker players have had an extra 15 years of quality sponsorship to improve their games.

The relative ability of Darts players these days is similar to Snooker players in the 80s when 147s were insanely rare. So having more 147s happen than 9 darters at the moment isnt evidence that they are easier.

Regarding the league, happy to be where i am after not being able to make transfers this weekend. All eyes on next weekends events! woot woot!

Thats ok then because the 9 darters are miles in front now.

(daren't say it but i am coming around to the 147 point of view on the back of all these 9 darters).

thats the reason 9 darters are harder.you cant fluke them
wlkipedia has 61 maximum breaks recorded.just over double figures for the 9 darter.although the floor tournaments away from the tv arent recorded.
