The tv tournaments really do make a difference! Some players (like Tabern and Klaasen) have already won 7 matches, 140 points!

sadly not.im afraid because of the nature of this comp points scoring doesnt start til
tonight.no transfers were allowed obviously because there were qualifiers from monday.
the fact they had 2 chances doesnt qualify them to score points willy nilly.different if they were premilinary rounds with one chance.

Wasn't this the case though in the various rounds of Blue Square regional qualifiers where the regional tournaments were effectively several chances of qualifying to win a place at the Blue Square Open? All of the regional qualifiers counted so this isn't any different.

The current treatment seems contradictory in any case, either the tournament is considered to have started (like the Blue Square comparison), in which case they should score points for the games played and we can't transfer, or the tournament hasn't started, no points have been gained and therefore, by definition we can transfer up to the start of play tonight. The no transfers isn't really "obvious" if the scoring for the turnament hasn't started yet.

This seems to be a strange hybrid and doesn't make much sense at the mo. Can we have a clarification so that we can either make transfers for the start of the tournament tonight or count our points from the qualifying days, please (personally think it should be this for the reason given above).

Transfers to be made the day before a "tournament" starts according to TSO's front page so I'd assume they had to be made before midnight last night.
