Lucky 7's - Season 12

Post by Lucky7s »

Lucky 7's Fantasy Football Season 12 starts on Saturday 5th August. It's a simple game to play and it takes very little of your time. You can join in at anytime, but the later you start the harder it could be to catch up. You can play for FREE, or if you would like the chance to win cash prizes you can choose to pay to play. It costs £5 per Lucky 7's season, or if you can get your payment in by Tuesday 8 August there's a special introductory offer of £15 for 4 Lucky 7's seasons.

How to play:
All you have to do is pick 7 teams from 10 football fixtures that you think will earn you the most points. You can choose from either of 3 sets of 10 fixtures (when available), 1 set of 7 selections = 1 game played.
There are 2 Matchdays a week, weekend and midweek so the fixtures cover a wide range of games including EPL - Conference, English and Euro cup comps, Internationals and other major Euro club leagues.
Each Lucky 7's season will last for 10 weeks (20 Matchdays).
Your team will score 3 points for every winner you pick, 1 point for each draw and if you pick 7 winners you'll get an added 7 points bonus. You also get a bonus point for any hat-tricks scored by a player from the team you picked and that's all there is to it, it's as easy as picking your lottery numbers.

Any new teams that join will be added to the bottom Division and your objectives should include trying to work your way up to the Premier League - promotion and relegation takes place at the end of each Lucky 7's season (4 up, 4 down).

If you start before Matchday 3 your team will also be included in an additional FA Cup knockout competition to add a bit of extra interest. There are also 2 more additional Cup competitions to play for IF your team finishes high enough in the table to qualify. All team acheivements are recorded and updated at the end of each season and is easily available to view on the sites growing History and Honours section.

Click here to go to the Lucky 7's website, or click WWW at the bottom of my posts

... and exclusively for the FISO players: the FISO league
Season 11 winners:
Devon XI - FISO league
The Kop Kings - FISO cup

From Season 12 you'll be able to create or join 3 mini leagues, the password for the FISO mini league is FISO.

If you would like to compete for cash prizes, you will need to make sure your entry fee reaches me before Matchday 2 (Tuesady 8 August), any payments received after Matchday 2 will count for the following Lucky 7's season. You can keep track of who is paying here

If you have any questions/comments about the game or website let me know and I'll get back to you.

At last we're back for Season 12 proper, you can pick your selections for Matchday 1 from now until 12 noon on Saturday.

If you have any problems let me know.

Nice one Ian :)

Just got my first selection of the season in (Set 2) and paid my £15 for the pay league...makes things even more interesting!

Glad to see my rant about the competition getting its own heading on the main forum paid off too! Have you had much more interest since its elevation in FISO?

My next quest is to get Yahoo! FF removed completely. Cant believe the last post in that forum was back in March...by me!!

Cheers bombom and to all the other campaigners for getting us our own section on the FISO forums. 8-)

We've had a fair bit of interest from new teams over the summer with almost a full compliment of teams in (new) Division 7 already! ... we'll have to wait and see if we lose many teams due to the summer interval.

Best of luck to all the paid teams, the £15 for 4 Lucky 7's seasons offer closes at 7pm on Tuesday 8th August. It'll be £5 per Lucky 7's season from then on. You can all keep track of who's paid here:

What a horrible Week One. Think I may have to pass on this set of fixtures. Are there any loyalty cups, etc. reliant on this set?

Hopefully we can bump up the numbers a bit by Tuesday? Only 10 in the league and only 5 of them are FISOers!

Come on you guys...put your money where your mouth is!!

There's about 1 and a half hours before we reach the deadline for Matchday 1 selections. A few FISOers still yet to pick.

Doing my usual, not picking on the first day. Rules haven't changed I presume Ian? I can still miss weeks?

Quite right, you still have until Tuesday evening to sign up for this seasons pay to play game.

The Champions Cup & Loyalty Cup competitions restart on midweek Matchday 2. You can pick for Matchday 2 now, so no slacking off for all you paid entrants.

Not overly happy with my 14 points in my first competitive round of Lucky7s but it will do. Helping D7 to the preseason title was a nice start though! :D

Is the only way to view the fiso league to sign in on the submission form and click 'leagues'?

14 is not a bad score really. It wasn't the easiest day to pick a decent set from.

There is a link to the FISO league in my first post (near the bottom).

I decided to give set 1 a miss but there was a bit higher scoring in Set 1 than I thought ther would be - still glad I missed out!

I had to work out the average score (just under 14 for Premier league). Didn't this average show up somewhere before or am I an old fool with a bad memory?

 I've just added the average scores (at the top of the league tables page). I forgot to add them after the pre season comp, thanks for the reminder.

Ian - as you may have noticed I've gone for (requesting) the direct payment approach. Got your e-mail but haven't acted on it yet - even if I set it up tonight it will (probably) take 4 days to get to you, missing the deadline. Is this OK???

Sure, I trust you are an honest sheep.
The deadline is only there to stop people changing their mind after a bad start on Matchday 2. Best of luck to all you payers.

Almost went for Hearts but remembered the tycoon being upset after a poor show in the last round. Chose IK Start instead, no idea where they even come from but they are at home to lowly Drogheda so must have a chance.

Besides...anybody named after a song by The Jam is fine by me!
