Thanks. Bit worried about playing 'Mulleteers' in the next round though as they had a 7* in their first round!

Looks like Madchester and I have drawn - 5 picks the same, and his Man Utd and West Ham, vs my Man City and Blackburn.

I hate midweek sets.

OK Murf so you keep your fleece!
But my hair is still not visiting the shears - it is like the avatar.

So congratulations & Good luck for the future rounds!

Gonna have to go for promotion now.

But I have a question - in midweek games - if they are cup ties European or otherwise - is it the 90 mins score that counts or in event of extratime are penalty shootouts counted?

BadaBing Lucky 7s v Lips Ink

6 choices the same  so it boils down to my Blackburn (W) v BadaBing's Spurs, he needs a Spurs win to scrape a replay. Any other result and I am through. :D

In single leg cup ties - results are taken from the winners of a penalty shootout if required.

In 2 leg cup ties - the 2nd legs are only affected
from the lucky 7s FAQs and Rules page wrote: If results of both legs are a draw and penalties are required to determine the outcome, the team winning the penalty shootout is credited with the win.

If a team wins after normal + extra time, but a penalty shootout is required to determine the 'overall' outcome (over both legs) then the result after extra time will be used and the result of the shootout disregarded.

Oh well. Suppose a draw isn't too bad against a bigger team.

What happens if both teams in a tie fail to enter?
I thought in the 1st round if both teams didn't enter, they both went out.

Good point - they'd both go out and The Kop Kings would get another bye!

this week's matches with those who have entered to date highlighted

2nd Round:
MK Pigeons v Thespecialones
2nd Round Replays:
Mark1886 v Athletico BM
Jeffers on v Mulleteers
Lips Ink v BadaBing
Deselective v Madchester

So 2 are game on
2 have one entrant
1 has no entrant yet so a bye for the Des/Mad winner is possible....
