I knew my time at the top would be short, but I'm expecting big points this weekend and I'm only 2pts adrift!
Thanks. I hope I can do the double. Has this ever been achieved before?

Depends what you mean by double ... lots of teams have won their leagues and a cup in the same season, but if you mean winning the FISO league and the FISO cup, then the answer is no as the FISO cup was only started this season. If you mean retain the FISO league title, then no again the previous winners (all different so far) are listed at the top of the FISO league page.

Edit: Here is the list of previous FISO league winners:
Season 10 winners - Jeffers on
Season 9 winners - Nashy Gnashers
Season 8 winners - Proud Salopians
Season 7 winners - Murfs Mob

Didn't realise that the Fiso league only started in season 7. I thought it had been about from the start.
Perhaps the treble then. Winning the Fiso league back-to-back and the Fiso cup as well.

In case anyones wondering -

http://www.luckysevens.co.uk/faqrules01.php#postp

Postponed matches

If you selected a fixture that gets postponed for any reason (including rescheduled games), the result will be deemed a 0-0 draw for Lucky 7's scoring purposes.

I had a good look at set 2 for this weekend and almost had a go at them, but fortunately I decided to stick with set 1 and luckilly it's paid off this weekend! A Man Utd win on Sunday will give me 14pts and hopefully enough to regain 1st place in the Prem League. 8-)

Set 2. Groan. It looked a really good tactic on paper. Only Coventry getting stuffed by Crewe was decisive. Most of the others hung in the balance and just didn't get there. Possible 18 pointer ended up as a 6 pointer

It was nice to see I was not the only one though and it did make for a good afternoons sporting entertainment when The Shrews were away.

I've fallen behind a bit with my selections - due to overwork and plain old forgetfulness - so set 2 was a perfect catch-up opportunity. Doh!

Hard luck tso, although you've got to be happy with 19pts for the weekend especially seeing how the set 2 scores went.

Well done to Karrde Vale the current FISO league leaders. 8-)

Set 2 again

Thought I would use my catch up this weekend but it turned into another shambles.

QPR have cost me big time in the last few weeks.

I tried it with Set 3 (Set 2 looked tricky). Got an almost respectable 13 points but a weak Set 1 score means I'm only borderline promotion material now (and out of the official and FISO cups :( ).

I think there have been some very promising set 2's this season; bad luck has just turned results against the percentages.

Welcome aboard Andy, hope you enjoy the game.

I've just checked potential fixtures and if you submit from all sets of fixtures until the end of season you should finish on 18 games played and maybe just enough (depending on how well you do) to finish in the top 12 and qualify for next seasons Loyalty Cup competition - now that's pressure for you, good luck!.

The following game was originally scheduled to play on Saturday evening and was included as part of the Matchday 13 Set 1 fixtures.

Fri 14 Apr
Italian Serie A
AC Milan v Inter 17.00

As it has now been moved forward to Friday evening (I assume for TV purposes) the Set 1 deadline for Matchday 13 will be brought forward to 5pm on Friday. I'll leave Matchday 13 Set 2 and 3 open until Saturdays usual 12 noon deadline.

Still waiting from Grant (The Kop Kings still in the FA Cup) to submit for this weekends Matchday 13. There are also a few others yet to enter, but not in the FA Cup, you can check here if you're in the FISO league:
http://www.luckysevens.co.uk/fisoleaguechecker.php
The Set 1 entry deadline is 5pm today.

All midweek Matchday 12 scores will be updated after todays games. It's going to be a bit busy over the next few days I think.

Happy easter! :D
