Set 1 appears to be still open for selection, even though a couple of the matches have kicked off... :?

I suppose it's not really a problem as if anyone tried to cheat by submitting a set where matches were already in progress or even completed, you would get a copy of the email sent to them which would show the time submitted. I guess the only dispute could occur if someone claimed to have done it unintentionally, though as the deadlines are clearly stated I don't think they would have a case!

Usually but not likely with this awful pair of sets (bet the one I don't pick from will score highly now)

I didn't think they were too bad, when picking my lot I got to 6 fairly easily then had to have a little think over the 7th, but like you mentioned there is normally one set that lets us down.

Indeed! a fabulous set of scores for the U21s, 46 teams managed a super 7 wins. Shame I didn't even consider picking from them. :(

Regarding the 'Players Player' award, I decided to drop that as it's too time consuming to set up during the season changeover. I wish it was as simple as setting up a poll on here or the Lucky 7's forums, but even if I did one via the forums I don't think it would get that much of a response.

Also, just a reminder that these FISO league teams are yet to enter this weekend:
Blackness Trotters
Primitives

That must have been one of the highest-scoring sets ever! Only noticed how nice it looked after initially being annoyed with myself for forgetting to enter the early European set. Paid off with maximum points, though I nearly picked Ireland before looking at the table and seeing that Montenegro were better than I had assumed!

Surprised there were no hat-tricks with the goals around in some of those games...

Grrr! you're looking for a hat-tricks bonus as well as a maximum.
Well it wasn't quite the highest ever, we once had a 25.62 average! as recorded on one of the threads on the Lucky 7's forums.

I see you got clobbered by the Spanish/Italian fixtures like me. :(
I'm sure you have the capacity to turn it around for the 2nd half of the season.

It was postponed due to snow, they are hoping to play it tomorrow.

Australia 1-0 Nigeria and South Africa 0-1 USA, according to BBC (whether I trust them or not is a different matter, given my experience with American football scores the other week...)

This section is taken from Game Rules;
"Postponed matches

If you selected a fixture that gets postponed for any reason (including rescheduled games), the result will be deemed a 0-0 draw for Lucky 7's scoring purposes.

In the event of severe weather disrupting more than 4 of 10 fixtures in any one SET, your point scores will count towards any Cup competitions you may be in, however for League purposes, I will contact you via email and give you the option to keep or scrap your points. If I do not receive a reply before the following matchday, your points scored will be kept
."
And now it looks like we are waiting for Serbia-Kazakhistan result :?

I suppose it's not completely clear what's classed as a "postponement". This match is still expected to take place on the same matchday weekend, so I guess it's treated the same as, say, a match where the kick-off is delayed by an hour - which would clearly not count as a postponement. But where do you draw the line, would it count if played on Monday, Tuesday etc?

This could be an important decision as I suspect a few 7x chances depend on it.

Yes it's an important decision, because I think there will be quite a few 7Xs.
To be honest how can you say the game is delayed? It's posponed.I can't imagine fans are still sitting and waiting inside the stadium because game is delayed :)

They should have put some 24 hour rules in the rules section. But there isn't any. So,I can't imagine somebody would argue that game isn't posponed but delayed. :)

Well, let's see what Mr 7s himself has to say on the matter!

If it counts I want Serbia to slip up now even though I picked them, to prevent anyone getting maximum points as I've already lost out through Ukraine.

Match now postponed until (probably) next weekend - so a definite 1-pointer for Lucky 7's purposes.

Still think the rule needs clarifying on short-term postponements in case this kind of thing comes up again.

Sorry for not getting here earlier. In this case (Serb v Kaz), I was prepared to let the result stand if the game was played today, but as it has now been rescheduled for next weekend the game has now been deemed a draw for our scoring purposes.
It has never happened before, but if a game gets postponed but rescheduled to play again before the next Matchday changeover then I would happily accept the proper result of the game.
Normally, postponed games cannot be played again until after the next Matchday changeover, so then it would be scored as a 1 point draw.
