Can I just check that the final sets of fixtures will be 2 sets from the international games and another from League One/Two?

Yep...pleased with my 16 points from the Spain/Italy Set. If you'd offered me that at the start of today I would have taken it!

Forestfan...I reckon you should leave this midweek alone and concentrate on the league?

He's leaving it late :!:
Entry deadline for Matchday 18 is 7pm tonight.
All matchday 18 scores will be updated later tonight.

I'd take a bye into the FA Cup Final any day of the week...but I'm sure that Forestfan is just getting my hopes up?

Christ...nearly forgot that tonight is also my Loyalty Cup Final!

OK, I'm in. Let's see if the lower league clubs can do it for me... who knows, a bit of penalty shoot-out value might help!

Well, it didn't come off - was worth a go though, and 11 doesn't look too disastrous in terms of my division title.

Good luck to Mulleteers and Jaybrent Allstars in the final, can't complain at losing out to two of the Premier Division top three!

Cheers Forestfan. In hindsight, taking the Spain/Italian set was a good choice. You never can trust that JP Trophy!

Maybe Jaybrent Allstars will let me have the FA Cup if he takes the Premier League...but probably not?

Well played Mulleteers, that's part 1 of the treble safely negotiated.
Jaybrent Allstars was the unlucky loser in the Champions Cup final so I'm sure he will not let you off lightly this weekend.

Hmmm....that's what I suspect too

The Treble!? I hadn't ever considered winning the league. The International picks are a bit too obvious, so unless I choose one differently from Jaybrent/Blackwolwes and pick up a sneaky 7xW (which I haven't managed all season!) then I'm out of the running.

I'm obviously a "Cups Team"...but please dont start comparing me with Spurs!!

A final bump for any stragglers that haven't picked for Matchday 19 yet. This will be the last chance to score points for Season 16, so if you have any games in hand use them up now! Final finishing positions for this season will be confirmed after all of tomorrows (err I should say todays) games have been played.

Good luck to the two FISOers going head to head in the FA Cup final.

New Season 17 kicks off next weekend.

Beware of the France 'banker'.

From Oddschecker :-
France's match against the Faroe Islands in Scotland's Euro 2008 qualifying group could be postponed due to ongoing bad weather.

The France team's plane was unable to land in Torshavn on Friday night because of dense fog and freezing rain, and as of 1000BST on Saturday the team had still not arrived.

The plane left Paris at midday on Friday, stopping off at Aberdeen in Scotland en route to the Faroes, but the adverse weather forced the pilots to re-route to Bergen in Norway.

Even if the plane was to land in the next few hours, UEFA rules stipulate that visiting international teams must arrive in the host nation 24 hours before kick-off.

The game, scheduled for 1600BST, now appears likely to be postponed until Sunday.

That would be bad news for the French, who need maximum recovery time ahead of Wednesday's crucial qualifier against Lithuania.

France are third in Group B, one point adrift of Italy and two behind leaders Scotland.

Thanks for highlighting this Shrews.
See how it develops, if it is postponed until tomorrow then that will be ok, the only problem will be if they can't reschedule before Tuesday (at the latest) then the game would be considered a draw for L7s scoring purposes.

Well that's any faint hope of the treble out the window as Jaybrent's picked exactly the same set as me...also means a Fa Cup Final Replay midweek.

Looks like it's down to the Turkey / Serbia selection for the top 2 in the league.

I thought we had gone for Matchday 20 replays a season or two back?

Shared trophies are a very unsatisfactory outcome, and Matchday 20 seems to serve no useful purpose at the moment otherwise (apart from perhaps a promotion/relegation tiebreaker if it is available for that purpose?)

I'm happy for the Final to go to a replay on Matchday 20 if both parties agree.
I remember talking about replays a while back but don't remember making a decision either way. I think I'll leave it up to the finalists to decide themselves.

If so it could be interesting - Serbia slipped up with a draw in Armenia but Turkey currently behind to Moldova!

Set 2 people haven't escaped as Wales went down to Cyprus and Luxembourg got a very rare win in Belarus.

Also just wanted to say that Jaybrent Allstars has accepted the challenge of a replay on Matchday 20 for the FA Cup.

Finally, (I'm surprised it hasn't been pointed out yet) the submission form for Matchday 20 contains the fixture Croatia v Israel - this game was played on Saturday finishing 1-0 to Croatia. I have no idea how that game slipped through under the radar, but it must have been listed as a Wednesday game when I originally compiled my fixture lists, so there's a 3 point start for anyone entering Matchday 20.

Typical. I get a 7-up in the final weekend when I've got nothing left to play for....

Just gave me the tease of a score that would have got me promotion from any league except mine :(

Definitely hard work in these high echelons.

Sorry C.Sativa but I did point this out a few days ago when I first realised it. As Matchday 20 is mainly used as a friendly I'll let the score stand this time, so it's a 3 point start for you.

Really is a case of great minds then....me and Jaybrent have picked exactly the same again.

Looks like we'll have to settle for sharing the cup.
