I've lost the dressing room, the support of the fans, I've had two votes of confidence...crikey, I may get offered the England job next

If I can just avoid relegation...that's all there is now. It all come down to that strange vote for Lybia to beat the Ivory Coast. I fear that will sink me in the end.

Watch out for MK Pigeons next season.

(You're doing very well, congrats)

A prime example of watching for an advantageous set of fixtures. Lot of 28 pointers in set 3 this week. Picked up 18 myself to leap into the promotion slots in Div 3.

I tried it last weekend and got 8 from Set 3. I looked this week but didn't fancy the fixtures as much so I didn't bother .....

Okay Ian, this is the way I see it at the bottom of the Premier:

I'll agree with that  it's not looking good for us. It'd be doubly disappointing for me if I went down after losing in the Loyalty Cup final (Thurs night).

You and I need a good score this weekend Spence, good luck mate.

If I were you, I'd have a good look at mine, then copy them

..then again, my cunning plan to leave one extra set has played to ny advantage.

...then again you can probably select a nightmare set for the catch-up week...hmmmm, what to do?

If you Premier guys have 17 relegation places next year that would be good. I may stand a chance of promotion to the Premiership if there are 17 places up for grabs......

murf definitely needs a Snow White for promotion. 2 sets to go for him and even a pair of 19s wouldn't push him into the top 4 on APPM (and thats assuming the opposition only keep up their 14-15 average).

One solid set from Premiership etc / SET 1 is submitted, so he says. Does he use his second set gamble on the Championship (maybe), Div 1 (looks tricky) or the midweek internationals (most of which could go any of 3 ways). Hmmmmm......

Decide to play all 3 games this weekend and, looking at the table, it looks like I need 2 Snow Whites from 3 sets to have a chance of going up.

Given that I haven't had any in 6 seasons it looks like a long shot. :(

Good luck to all FISOers for your final game(s) of season 10. The new season 11 kicks off next weekend Sat 5 March.

Also just to let you know I've decided to reopen the age old debate about the way 'catch up' is used, you can find the topic on the luckysevens forums here:

http://s3.invisionfree.com/Lucky_7s_For ... try2188703

... or feel free to discuss it here on FISO and I'll try and keep tabs on both threads.

The general idea is to still allow people to miss a matchday (for whatever reason), but the next time they play they would have to play all their catch up games rather than carry a game in hand. If the team only submitted 1 set and they needed to play 2 sets then none would count.

Obviously any new ruling would need to be made clear and if implemented would take effect from the end of summer (Season 12 onwards).

So let me know what you think here or over in the luckysevens forums, cheers.

Ian

I'm not sure if that is the best way forward Ian. IMO all catch-up games should have to be played by the end of match day 19 (in a 19 game season) but when those games are played surely should be left up to the individual.

Choosing the have 'one in hand' is an integral part of this game. To be forced into giving it back next go would be a bad thing. We don't always have enough sets to choose from and it may get to the point where people have more than 3 sets in hand - then what.

I've always thought it would be better to be able to have more than one set at time. What's wrong with someone playing 3 sets and putting down a marker, it's what happens in real life. It would never get too silly because of all the cup competitions which would keep everyone sensible.
