It looks probable that you'll be numero uno this time tomorrow 8-)
That's quite an achievement considering the lead he had built up at one time - not too long ago.

He seems to have blown it with some rather strange selections, I did record a 7x last weekend which took the biggest chunk out of his lead but other than that my recent sets haven't been that spectacular. Still a long way to go, other teams could still challenge over the last two matchdays but I think I'll be hoping for the popular sets to be low-scoring.

Well done Cloughies Army who takeover at the top of the All Team Table. Just 2 Matchdays to hang on to for the title.

This midweek Mdy 18 we have an all FISO Champions Cup final:
Mulleteers v Surreal Mildred
Reigning champons Mulleteers are looking to retain the trophy after going through in this weekends semi final replay.

There are no known FISOers in the Loyalty Cup final, but there are 3 out of 4 FISOers battling this midweek in the FA Cup Semi Final replay for the 2 places available for next weekends final. Good luck to Cloughies Army, Mulleteers and Murfs Mob.

So then Murf, it looks like its my Fenerbahce  against your Millwall

Really difficult decision on which set to go for. The lack of a draw possibility in Set 1 edged it for me.

Gonna have to wait until Thursday for the result of my Champions Cup final as my opponent's gone for Set 2.

Looks like going for the FA Cup games may have backfired badly for me here, really need Millwall to at least get me into double figures.

Perhaps should have played safe with the other set, but the guaranteed result on the night always adds value and you couldn't have predicted so many away wins in these replays.

GOAL: Millwall 1-0 Bradford: N Doyle (og 114)

:D

Think if they win that gets me and Cloughies Army to the Final (barring the forces of evil conspiring against me with a Fenerbache hat trick and other results). Fenerbache win gets bombom there too.

Bostock Ices' score will only be relevant to whether he joins us or not.

Your opponent has picked 2 sets this midweek and he's elected Set 1 for his Champions Cup score. From my calculations, you will lose if Surreal Mildred scores more than 3 points from his Blackburn & PSG.

Oh yeah...cheers Ian! I was just about to slit my wrists, but I can put that off for at least 3 hours now

That'll teach me to not look properly at the selections.

All square at the top of the all teams table with 1 matchday to go! Now it's just a question of whether to play safe or gamble, got an FA Cup final as well with some real cash at stake...

Congratulations to Champions Cup winners Surreal Mildred the first confirmed cash prize winner of Season 13 (email posted).
Hard luck to Mulleteers, a tough midweek for you to bear, losers in the Champions Cup final and also knocked out of the FA Cup in the semi final replay, good luck for next season.

Well done to Cloughies Army and Murfs Mob who are both through to this weekends FA Cup final, we're still waiting for Bostock Ices full time score to see if they will be joining you.

This weekend Matchday 19 will be the last league scoring matchday of Season 13, so if you have games in hand you need to play them all.
There will be a final midweek Matchday 20, but this will only be used for Pre Season 14 friendlies and league position tiebreakers if needed.

Good luck all on the final weekend of Season 13, the new Season 14 kicks off on Sat 23 Dec.

:D Thirty quid!

I didn't think 13 points would be enough. Looking forward to getting knocked out in the first round next time as my luck returns to normal.

I enjoy this game and the paid option makes it more interesting. The money incentive certainly gets you to concentrate on getting your predictions in on time.

I thought Matchday 20 worked as a tie-breaker for the cup final but the above suggests not (as does the rules - I followed commandment 1 for once!).

Personally I think it should and might be worth thinking about for the future (or even this FA Cup if everybody agreed before saturday :?: ).

Looking forward to the weekend anyway - my only silverware to date is a lower league trophy so bring it on!

Ive been suprised at no Cup Final Replays in the past. Both my trophies have had to be shared.

Match day 20 is there, not sure why it cant be used.

In the very early days of lucky 7's cup final replays were discussed and it was felt that sharing the honours was the prefered option, so it has just stayed that way. If your cup final match finishes level, then both teams are worthy winners anyway so I've never thought about changing it.
I don't think it would be fair to change anything for this weekends FA cup final, especially as Bostock Ices (who could still qualify) is not a FISO registered team so would not be able to discuss it here. I am happy to discuss this topic for the future though. Either you can or I will try get a post up in the lucky 7's forums soon.

Edit: New thread (and poll  ) added on the lucky 7's forums here:

Thanks for that, I'll leave it off then.

Edit: just a quick reminder to all that this weekend is the last chance to score points in the league, so if you have games in hand get picking!

I'm hovering nicely in league 2. Need a couple of nice sets full of home wins to sneak the league title after hanging back for so long!

Lucky 7s FA Cup Final:

4 matches all picked the same so ignored

Bostock Ices - Wigan (0) / Celtic / Man City = 0, 2 to play
Cloughie's Army - Reading (0) / wigan (0) / newc (3) = 3, 0 to play
murf's mob = Reading (0) / Villa / Man City = 0, 2 to play

All to play for, come on Villa!!!

Wigan and Reading let me down badly there, think the overall title's gone now and looks like I need a Man City defeat to give me at least a share in the FA Cup.

I can still beat ya if all my teams win tomorrow and I can get two hat-tricks (just a slight punchers chance). OK clutching at straws

Arsenal draw
No 7x this season

With Villa losing you've got me at least tied.

I need City to win and Celtic to lose to get a one third share :(

Looks like I've done it then thanks to Spurs! Well played to the others, great to get some cash-paying silverware out of what's been an incredible season.

Shame really that I'll probably be unable to defend it next season, rather like Man Utd a few years ago...

Well played forestfan :D

I've rarely got anywhere in the Lucky 7s Cups so I enjoyed my run.

Thanks again to Ian / Lucky7s for another great season :D
