I really miss playing this game and wish it would come back
So simple and yet unbelievably difficult which made it such a challenge.

Snap, it was a great concept and the short seasons (was it 20 games in 10 weeks so 4 a season?) made it great for promotion and second chances etc.thelip wrote:I really miss playing this game and wish it would come back

Somebody mentioned it in the 'best FF' game thread and it wasn't even FF but the best games have nearly all gone.

Re: Lucky 7's
I was thinking about this game recently, and can't believe it's over 5 years since the game finished! We had a couple of scaled down revival games on the Community Games forum not that long afterwards, about time we had another one... how many former regulars are still around on here?
Getting a bit ahead of myself here but this feels like something that could one day be reborn as a "widget" based game on here, like with FISO Goals and FISODAS... with the agreement of the original organiser of course, who still has it as a username!

Re: Lucky 7's
I can't believe how long it's been since the game finished! It was great to get so much positive feedback about the game especially here on FISO, but it became such a monster to run I had to finish it. I wouldn't be able to revive the old game as it was, but would be happy if somebody else wanted to try running a similar idea.
Perhaps the best solution is to try and develop a simplified 'lite' version for the forum.

I used to play it and loved it, but I can't for the life of me remember what the rules were . Getting old(er).
Can we not get Rob on it?

Could do a manual game over xmas. Just one set of 10. For the sake of the feeble memoried and newbies, we were usually presented with 3 sets of 10 games and you had to try and pick 7 winners from any 1 set.

Re: Lucky 7's
I would suggest a weekly game where you could select from 2 or 3 sets of 10 of the best of the weeks fixtures, I used to cherry pick the best available fixtures from all over Europe, including Internationals.
The original scoring system was fairly simple so it shouldn't take too much to build a spreadsheet to help with running it. I'm not that good with spreadsheets so if anyone could help with that it should be good to go.
