murf's F1 Predictions 2012 - Rd 19, US GP, 16-18 November

Welcome to Round 19 of murf enterprises's 2012 Formula 1 predictions game.

Just this one and one more to go and we can celebrate with a looonnngggg lay in or two with an evening deadline, qualifying and GP

We are now into the knockout stages of the FlyAway Cup and it is semi final stage (draw below)

Each race will be a separate competition where the winner gets 25 points towards the season competition, second 18, third 12, down to 1 for 10th just like the real thing.

Everybody is welcome to have a go. All you have to do is predict the top 10 finishers and you score points depending on how accurate you are. Best man wins. Full points details etc in the Series thread.

As well as the main championship, we will again be tallying total scores over all 20 races for the Form Crown and having 3 sidecomps - yes back to 3 again!.
Simple picking rules
- pick your top 10
- stick to the template
- use driver surnames only
- No witty comments / smileys on the predictions lines as these are copied directly into the spreadsheet
- use the correct spelling

Please double check your spelling and remove comments or the automated spreadsheet WILL steal your points!
IF I spot your mistake I will give you a nod to change it. Yellow card system - just one warning/nod each. The spreadsheet has been refined since last year so badly spelled picks will get 0 points.

My changes definitely cost me big time. I took out Grosjean and Di Resta and replaced them with Rosberg and Perez demoting Hulkenberg at the same time. Reminder to self to not tinker and stick to initial instincts in future.

On the Castrol website game, I don't tinker at all and I do much better

RESULTS

5 correct picks and 3 only one out amongst 9 scorers gives 191 points and victory by a huge margin to owenclass, which is also the highest score of the season so far. Digsby gets his second best result of the season in second and Shaggy365 keeps alive his title hopes with 3rd. The thre championship leaders score just one point between them...

MvL holds a 16 point lead so needs just 5th place to secure the title.
Shaggy365 came second, moves into second and needs at least second to stand a chance.
Surprised needs to win in Brazil to stand a chance.
Lone Ranger and the rest of us no longer have a chance. LR can still get second though.
