I'm going to try. I'll have to ring Hervé, the deuxieme ligne. Big lad as one would expect. If no luck it will have to be a small party carrying on until the Monday when it's Paddys day

Hey Murf, murf wrote: I just follow the results. League is a far superior sport and far better entertainment than watching posh fat blokes writhing around on top of each other.
sounds like you are speaking from experience there ... did you ever play rugger, then?
I don't remember the writhing around on top of each other ... just the good line, the clean sidestep & leaving em trailing in my wake ...
League, on the other hand is let's everybody line out the width of the pitch & see which team cannot tackle ... ho, hum
or were you always the two pullovers on the grass & who is playing "in"? (with the round ball) type? ... the game of my youth ...

Always footie for me.
Became a League convert when I lived in Wigan for a couple of years. It was compulsory.

I have pm'd my predictions.murf wrote:Always footie for me.

PS Dear Finalists,
BUMP
For the Italy and Wales matches, it would appear to be about the margin of victory whereas the France - Ireland game could be about which team wins... unless Big Bird and I both go for the same winner.
Best of luck Big Bird and let the best bird win

THE FINAL
Battle of the previous champions.....
If they win by 7 or more then it goes to Big Bird. A narrow win (5 or less) or a defeat or draw and it goes to Rookster.
If they win by 6...... umm, ahhh, err.... it goes to Rookster for being the first to pick (see tie-break rules in first post)

I'd take that.
30 minutes to go and I lead only by the tie-break rule - this is tighter than my Scottish Uncle.

11 minutes to go and Big Bird needs 5 Irish points without reply

Re: *murf's 6 Nations Egg Chasing Predictions Knockout Cup 2
BTW, Murf.
I think if I make you one of the two VP's (posts available of the SuperBru FISO Predictions Club) that the results of your competition below will be recorded in the Club's Medal Table, and will be recorded going forward ... does that sound like a good idea?
You shouldn't get indundated (hopefully) with Egg chasing invites if I exclude you from Egg chasing memos

Sounds good. I don't do egg chasing but as I do this superior comp I also pick for Superbru while I'm at it. It is only 5 weekends a year and I get 10 months to repurify my soul afterwards.Mick MacPaddywack wrote:BTW, Murf.

I can visualise your ancestors now, wearing Billy's Boots in the muddy mire of the football pitch @ Rugby school, roaring at William Webb Ellis to put that bloody football down before he gets ragged by his mates. Before the age of enlightenment, in the infancy of that wonderful sport for gentlemen.murf wrote:Sounds good.
