Kane at 7m and Son at 2.9m presented an interesting challenge.

Yeah, didn’t really occur to me that’s why Kane wasn’t as popular as usual this week... perhaps I need to increase Son’s base value in my pricing system but again, price him too close to Kane and he’s effectively taken out of the game.

I thought their pricing in releation to goal potential was about right and so made it a difficult decision. As you say, if Son is a lot higher then he isn’t really a viable option.

The one striker per club rule presents a challenge for both organiser and players... pricing the numerous City and Liverpool attacking players (or even choosing which ones to list) can be quite tricky!

Yeah it’s sort of what I alluded to last night, the game is really only as good as the organiser and as I say I think you nail it.

Thanks, good to see people think that! I’m still trying to improve things when I see an opportunity, without messing with the format that has worked for so long.

I wouldn’t have taken it on (and the game wouldn’t have lasted for a decade already by that point) without all the work put in by my three predecessors though... two of whom continue to support the game as players. And of course having 50 enthusiastic players is essential for the game to continue to thrive.

Surely an overspend indicates that the CB should be the bonus used and the DS discarded for reuse?

Logically that makes sense, though would need to make a rule change to apply that as standard procedure... interesting debate, if for example you accidentally overspent by 0.1m would you rather lose your CB, or keep it and incur the existing penalties? (I know a number of people would happily get rid of the CB by any means )

Perhaps the amount of overspend is taken into account - under 2.5 overspend would appear unintentional, over intentional? It doesn't happen often so any arbitrary figure would do.

As for deciding what to do today, perhaps his opponent could have final say?
