So both close to consensus picks, either:
1.
Alisson
Chilwell, TAA, Zinchenko, Guilbert
Sterling, Lanzini, KDB, Salah, Jota
Kane
2.
Ederson
Chilwell, TAA, Zinchenko, Guilbert
Sterling, Lanzini, Bilva, Salah, Jota
Kane
So basically a choice between Alisson & KDB or Ederson & Bilva.
I have been leaning to the Alisson & KDB partnership as gives me two Liverpool def with their easy start but then if Zinchenko goes off the boil or gets rotated I have no City def (as discussed lots elsewhere). Both allow an upgrade to Aguero as/when needed.
And does anyone have any concerns over Chilwell/Leic def now Maguire has left?

Not convinced on Leicester defence, 3 of the 'big 6' in the first 7 games too.
Should do ok and Chilwell is solid but can get similar (if not quite as reliable) cheaper or more reliable for not much more. Gomez and Emerson if they start. Old mate Maguire or his new mate AWB?

I don't disagree with that murf. But I'm on the limit so would only have 3.1 (3.3 if drop KDB for Bilva) available to replace Chilwell. Unless of course I use that extra0.4 for Kane/Aguero.
Would you go Alisson/KDB or Emerson/Bilva?

My team is almost exactly the same as your first team, only difference is Doherty in for Chilwell. There were doubts if he'd be fit to start the season but he played yesterday and scored to boot. Only problem is it takes my team to 50.0m so no Aguero without multiple transfers

I think kane, if he stays fit, will score as many as aguero. If you have sterling and another city you should be OK. Can't have them all!!

I wouldn't worry too much about being on 50m. Seems to be a lot of risky enablers this year so can always get one in (once safe) to raise cash to upgrade anywhere else (can'tsee me doing Kane to Aguero any time soon but who knows). 38 transfers is enough!

Thanks all, appreciate the input.
Doherty is now in and just a toss up between KDB and Bilva with Alisson in goal.

My logic is Ederson in goal. Similar in many respects to Allison but gives you City 'coverage' when their defenders are all rotatable and risky so City keeper, Liverpool defenders.

I do like that logic and it is a worry.
If I stick Ederson in with Bilva gives enough for the phantom Gomez (over Doherty) if he starts otherwise it's only one Lvpl def.
Aah, trials and tribulations.
