Maldini Egg Cup
E Moraes £3.9M

D Jota £3.2M
E Hazard £5.8M
R Sterling £5.7M
B Silva £4.6M
S Aguero £6.8M
R Jimenez £3.7M
J Vardy £6.2M M Salah £6.0M
Team Total - £48.7M
Transfers left - 2
Free 1 - Otamendi Coady - Can see a lot of rotation among the City centre backs so in comes Wolves captain to free up funds for...
Free 2 - Ozil Kane - Ozil's been going downhill for a while now and not sold on the new Arsenal manager. Time for Sir Harry to banish his August hoodoo.
T1 - M El Younoussi J Stephens - CK for cheapest way in to Southampton defence with nice fixtures. Weighed in with a few goals too.
T2 - D Sanchez R Pereyra - Not sure on Spurs defensively and I like the look of Pereyra.
T3 - R Patricio E Moraes - Don't want two Wolves players in my defence.
T4 - A Sanchez N Keita - Looks a great footballer and hopefully he’ll get plenty of KC’s and the odd goal. Early differential and frees up cash for my Sane upgrade at the weekend.
T5 - L Sane P Aubameyang - Out of favour midfielder for striker with great fixtures.
T6 - E Bailly K Trippier - Bench warmer to season long must have.
T7 - S Aguero R Lukaku - Less of a rotation risk and a touch of desperation.
T8 - N Keita L Moura - Complete desperation!
T9 - J Stephens A Smith - decent fixtures for Bournemouth.
T10 - M Salah E Hazard - extra games.
T11 - H Kane M Salah - games against Huddersfield, Cardiff & Arsenal whilst Harry, who still doesn't seem to be firing on all cylinders, plays City. Plan was to bring Firmino in but he's on the bench.
T12 - L Moura J Maddison - nice fixtures.
T13 - P Aubameyang S Aguero - Arsenal fixtures get tougher and City's get easier.
T14 - R Lukaku J Vardy - Lost patience with Lukaku and should have swapped him rather than Auba to Aguero last week. Have a feeling that the Leicester lads will react positively to last weeks tragic accident so taking a punt on Vardy.
T15 - A Smith S Mane - Injury and good run of fixtures for Liverpool.
T16 - J Vardy R Jimenez - 2-0 against Huddersfield and Cardiff.
T17 - R Jimenez M Arnautovic - Wheels fallen off at Wolves and West Ham have great fixtures until the end of January
T18 - S Aguero H Kane - Sergio's muscle injuries tend to drag on a little and I've been burnt too many times in the past holding on to him....cue hat-trick against Watford in midweek.
T19 - M Arnautovic P Aubameyang - injury
T20 - S Mane A Mitrovic - injury
T21 - H Kane S Aguero - first of two transfers to get my preferred front two back in.
T22 - A Mitrovic J Lingard - wanted some United coverage. Would’ve preferred Pogba but couldn’t afford him.
T23 - P Aubameyang H Kane - back to my preferred front two.....for now.
T24 - H Kane R Sterling - definite 2-0 but Kane could be out a while.
T25 - M Salah A Laporte - taking the 4-1
T26 - J Maddison M Salah - Too risky not having him.
T27 - R Pereyra D Jota - Injury. Would’ve preferred Jimenez (who I got rid of too hastily earlier in the season) but was 0.1m short.
T28 - A Robertson R Jimenez - 3-0
T29 - J Lingard M Doherty - hamstring injury so probably at least a 3 for 1 with the 1 being Liverpool.
T30 - R Sterling P Pogba - 2-0 and wanted some United coverage after getting rid of Lingard.
T31 - A Laporte A Robertson - injury/decent fixtures
T32 - K Trippier J Vardy - Trippier injured so taking the 5 for 2. Differential too.
T33 - M Salah R Sterling - Mo couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo at the moment whereas Raheem’s on fire. Very probably a 10 for 7 as well.
T34 - S Aguero H Kane - injury / extra games
T35 - P Pogba A Laporte - False dawn at United so fund raiser to get Aguero back in later.
T36 - A Robertson B Silva - extra games
T37 - H Kane S Aguero - as it happens, I didn’t need to sell Pogba to raise funds to get Sergio back in.
T38 - J Vardy M Salah - Leicester have tricky fixtures left, Liverpool have extra game plus Cardiff & Huddersfield in next 6 days.

Egg Premier League 2018/19
Tough standard down here.zipnolan wrote:Hoppy needs to earn his place in the Premier League!
Much easier in the PL (bar one bad season) .....
Winning the PL without the 5* winner is a hollow victory.

In all fairness if we can get two egg boxes of 12 fine if not it’s time. Imo.

It's definitely not the right time to be talking about it. To be fair, those in favour seem to be mainly nervous Nellies on the cusp of either promotion or relegation

Re: Egg Premier League 2018/19
I personally think we need to sort out the 'rules' and protocol first. Been a lot of variation in styles and attitude into what has to done and when and how. Has frankly made this thread a mess and caused some grumpiness and this may well affect numbers going forward. Shame as this has almost been the friendliest and 'funnest' sidecomp/superleague. Sort this out and then throw the doors open for next year. Hopefully with a Premier League of 12 and a healthy Championship - if we don't get the numbers then (and only then do) we reconsider. All just IMO....

Re: Egg Premier League 2018/19
I agree with murf. There has been a lot of "I'm leaving as people aren't declaring well enough" matched by "sod you, I'm doing it my way anyway", and if we can get agreement on that we might get returns from those of were thinking about going. For the time being, though, we should assume that the bottom three get relegated and the top three promoted, as God intended....

Agree with zip and murf, IMO think we need a moderated version of how to declare transfers but we all stick to it or suffer a penalty and keep the divisions assuming at least 24 entrants.

If you haven’t got time or can’t be arsed to declare your transfers properly then don’t play. Simple.

Re: Egg Premier League 2018/19
I agree in principle but look up a few posts 2 players that play the game properly Des and Jester both with random versions of how to declare.
Current team with change made/reason and transfers left and value should be enough, ( as zipnolan is doing it) its the whole season history bit I think we need to remove.

Agree the history bit is a mess but might be worth showing last few.
