Cheers John,
It is a shame celebrations have to be put on hold, knowing the unreliability of the company involved. Still wondering who Beer Money is, I would be surprised if he/she doesn't at least lurk on FISO.

well done mike,

i'm just glad the bl**dy game is finished.

what a nightmare really spoilt the season and has put me off fantasy football a fair bit along with the times.

will either limit the games i play next year or give up i think.

anyway congrats mike, god knows how accurate the other positions are but you are a clearcut winner.

well done,

andy.

Cheers Andy,
As I mentioned before, I don't feel that I'll have the motivation to play any of the current crop of games next year. Scaling down the ff and scaling up the betting seems like an attractive option at the moment. I'll be pleased if I can be half as successful as you and Steve with that!

Dunno about round 35, there wasn't one.

Received emails for round 28 weekly and round 32 tonight so by the looks of it, round 28 is finalised. Game over.

Stupid yanks.

Gutted, I know. I have been cheated out of 25 quid.
Let's hope the game is not in their hands next year.

I know Andy might not agree but I feel that their cock up cost me about £5k in Q3. But as you say, what can you do? And it is not as if they weren't made aware of the issues immediately.

I received mt Round prize notifications for Rounds 28, 32 and 33. So just the overall and league prizes to go?!

hi mike,

whilst i do disagree with you i can understand your point and there is little point revisiting it as we both know the arguments.

i also feel that a number of things they did probably cost me 2nd place, but there you go when something is that incompetently run not only do you not know if the scores are correct but also the effects of their blunders without any doubt whatsoever altered everyones scores in some shape or form.

pain in the butt, lets hope they never return.

Got this yesterday:

John,

Congratulations, you have come in first overall in the Fantasy Football Challenge Free Season long game.

Your first place prize 42" High Definition Widescreen TV

So I guess that's progress, nothing on the cash front though...At least they're still alive  and maybe this is more encouraging, particularly to those who are owed the big bucks

Be lucky

John

PS..I wonder if we'll all remember what an HD Plasma TV was by the time it arrives, if it arrives

now had my end of season e-mail too.

lets hope they NEVER COME BACK - arrogant and incompetent and only interested in money was my view, no pride or professionalism whatsoever. basically things that the usa generally are criticised for.

i really liked the design of the game but in this country you must have a paper behind you - the grauniad may have been a good choice.

allegedly they had a two year contract. i must admit i'd probably play then regret it, but i really cannot see them darkening the uk's doors for a very long time - so i'll miss the game, but it's good riddance to fanball.

to quote tom who seemed to be the main guy there.'it can hardly have been an enjoyable experience for the user' a master of the under statement

I'm amazed....X-Box (core version again  ) just arrived

They are officially still alive...This, me thinks, brings much hope for the cash and other bits we're all owed :?

No, actually it was the President of Uganda. I was suspicious at first but it turned out that his knowledge of the rules and how to run a fantasy football competition was superior to the previous American e-mail address I had been given.

bob astles used to go to one of my old schools.

a very bizarre story.

one of my old university mates spat on idi amin when he was kicked out of uganda with his family.

he was only about 6yo - kids have no fear

Believe or not I've just realised I won a few things. :)
£200 for 2nd place at wk32,£10 for finishing 3th in my league and £50 gift voucher for finishing 5th on free competition.
So how the payments are going. Are they paying?
This is my first ever fantasy win I hope they will pay. :D

I'm STILL waiting for £100 cheque for week 23. Earlier this month I received a response from them promising me that my award would be honoured and the outstanding cheques would be issued from June 18th ( I assume they did mean 2007 !!!).

Over a week since the proposed issue date though and no sign of it yet :(

A miracle....The worlds biggest TV turned up yesterday...as a Girlfriend said "Oh John, it's enormous"

Will this be back next season, me thinks not and I certainly hope not.

It's great to win stuff, but this has been torturous for us all.

Have fun!

John
