May - +$481.41 :D

I thought I'd won more than that :? Even when I win I like to moan

Thats makes my yearly figure +$440. :| This time last year I was up over $6K :o I'm under pressure now because the fellas flipping burgers at McDs look like City high flyers next to my current hourly rate.

Work/Family are getting in the way of my poker time at the moment and I'm not even sure if I'll be able to play in next weekends big WSOP qualifier on Stars :x . I think I also won a Step 4 (it might be step 3?) ticket in May so I'll be playing that soon. I'm not sure if these can only be used for WSOP qualifiers or not?

Still June has gotten off to a good start as I cashed for $400 last night in a $5 FO on Full Tilt 8-)

Shouldnt whinge at 500 doller months nuttie thats a nice average month for me :). If its a step 4 then you can use that to buy direct into a $215 tourney (the million etc).

June - +$1,928.14 8-)

6 month cumulative total - +$2,370 - Thank eff for June! :D

I'm a little  at my June results. I don't keep a mental track of how much I'm winning/losing during the month but I obviously have a feel of how its going. In May I thought I'd played pretty well and was a little disappointed to see it was only $500. In June I knew I'd been winning but until I checked this morning I would've only guessed aboout $1,200 profit.

Whats even more impressive about that profit is I think my biggest win in the month was about $600, so it was made up of lots of cashes in the $200-$300 range. I was on fire last month. :D

Its kinda strange but even after last month I feel like I've lost my mojo for playing at the moment :? I've only played twice in the last week or so and both times I've been too tired to do myself justice? This weekend just gone I was home on both Sat and Sun nights and decided not to play on both nights - choosing instead to watch some crappy movies on Sky and go to bed around 10.30pm :? What the hell is the matter with me? Its these bloody kids I tell yeah! Getting up at 6am every single day is beginning to take its toll :(

I'm have a few days working from home this week so I'm hoping to get some table time and get my mojo back.

:D

Hi Nuttie,

What are your tourneys/stake of choice at the moment?

I am still grinding through the $16/18Turbos at the moment, though I did manage 6th in a rare $12/180Tur yesterday - was leading with about 30 left, so a bit disappointing really, but went very card-dead just after bubble and couldn't make enough moves - so I may give a few more of those a go, to see whether I just got lucky or if they are fairly straightforward.

I normally play about 6 tourneys in a night (If I bust a couple early on I might start another one or two). Depending on what time I start my usual tourneys would come from this lot -

Stars -
7.00pm $10 - $30K GTD
7.15pm $3 rebuy - $50K GTD (I thinkits $50K?)
8.15pm $11 NLH Freezeout
9.00pm $8 NLH Freezeout

Full Tilt -
9.00pm $5 Freezeout - Daily double A
9.02pm $5 Freezeout - Daily double B

I've been including a couple of Omaha Hi/Lo tourneys too ($10 Freezeout or $5 rebuy).
And if its 7.30pm and I'm only in 2 MTTs I might play a $12 180 on Stars or find a $20 freezeout somewhere.

If I'm drunk and I feel like a gamble I might enter a $100 MTT  - Like I did last week and my KK lost to a flopped set of Jacks :(

I'm playing more and more on Full Tilt at the moment and I'm finding those daily double tourneys super soft. From over 1,000 starters I've made 2 final tables from about 20 entries :D (Admittedly I have run good in them  )

Remember this thread?

July -$1,008.13 :(

No wonder I didn't update the thread :D

August +$329.50

Balance for the year after August +$1,692 :|

I barely played in August and all of that profit was from a brief foray into the NL50 cash tables, yikes!

When I've sobered up I'll try to add something more constructive to this thread :D

OK lets bring this up to date then we can draw a line under 2009 and look forward to bigger and better things in 2010.

December -$239.59

Which gives me a yearly report of -

:|

There are many ways we could interpret the table above, but lets face it most of them are pretty depressing so we wont go there. :P

UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_UNDERLINE_

2010

Thats better. Now this year I'm up against it. My goal last year was to repeat the haul of 2008 and I obviously failed miserably.

I think I'll leave the targets alone for now and just make my goal to start getting some table time under my belt. Looking at OPR I only played on Stars MTTs for 4 days in Dec. :|

I played last night - a $3 rebuy, that was it. One lousy tourney

Game on

What a great thread :D

At the beginning of 2009 I made a deposit on Full Tilt poker, I think it was £200, to take advantage of a free Pokersavvy membership. Not long after depositing my Tilt balance had climbed to over $1,500. Today its $18.67. :|

An extract from my as yet unpublished Autobiography 'Hotpot - No Moar Mr Nice Guy' -
Chapter 8 - Online Poker : 1 Jan 2009 to 8 August 2010 - The Wilderness Years

Bad beat, playing tired, bad beat, playing drunk etc.
I think it needs some more work :| Anyway, Chapter 9 will make much better reading. :D

On Friday night I folded trip 5s (or was it a set of 5s? ) on the turn when I got distracted.
Last night, not for the first time, I folded AA preflop.

After a 3 week Poker Boot Camp I'm back. I've rebranded, repackaged and refreshed myself and I'm reraring to go.

The road to recovery starts now!

gl me :D

Please do Mike!!!

And Dave, I think we should just get drunk one night soon and get the demon cast aside! I fancy a domestic poker night. Happy to host, but space round my table is fairly limited, space for kipping is definately limited, but hotels are easy peasy round ere.

Its time for a good news story to ligthen up this otherwise depressing blog :D

Went out for a meal in the casino last night with a few mates. Met up in my local snooker club and had a few hands of low limit poker to get the evening going. I won about £40 - just enough to cover my contribution to the cab and meal bill :D

After food decided to swerve the blackjack/roulette tables and take my hard earned to the poker tables where there is no luck involved, just pure skill. It was 50p/£1 blinds so I sat down with £100.

I believe if you can't decide who the fish is at your table when playing poker then its probably you. So I folded for about 3 orbits whilst I got the lay of the land. I deduced that there where 9 fish at the table and me

I doubled up when I got KK and bet every street on a safe board 8-)

A few hands later I got AK and the flop came K77 - that won me another £100 8-)

Then I remember my J9s hitting a flop of J9x - another £100 8-)

There must've been something else in there too as one of the fish at the table insisted on knowing how much I was playing with and the dealer totted it up to £450 :P (I've just remembered my 74o hit a flop of 779! )

All the regulars where bringing extra cash to the table in the hopes of stacking the pissed rowdy bloke who was drinking too much Stella and playing 74o against a raise of £6  so I nitted it up knowing I was gonna get paid big time if I hit another hand.

No more cards came my way though and I called it a day at 4.30am with the same £450 in front of me 8-)

All things considered, a very enjoyable evening. It seems to me that this online poker lark is vastly overrated!

I'll be at the tables tonight though splashing pots here, there and everywhere.

THE END :D
