Re: FPL Poker 5 a side team
Cheers Grob for all that extra info!
And Digsby, I don't know if that pm (off Uncle Onion) pushes me down the pecking order and out of the team but I'll be fine either way. No worries there, then!
Whatever happens, I'll prepare like I'm in a 30-man provisional squad and run my first FPL team this season, regardless.
Half a million and counting?
I'm feeling lucky!
Edit:
Well I think it's set up (b4 I tinker away...), though I've got a really basic URL compared to everyone else. Is this just because it's my first season? Will that URL change (and will I have to update it?)?
I must say I couldn't find my "history" page Grob (not that I should have one, really) so I assume you meant "my team" page and entered that URL.
Anyway, I'm nearly there...
Edit2: I'm guessing I just have to wait until the big kick off for my in-play URL...

As far as I'm concerned you're in as uncle onion didn't post his interest here on this thread but then I'm not the skipper (although I was in our 5-a-side 1st year.......how did I get sacked?????)

No biggie and no rush (right now) anyway, so I can wait at least until you're next back at a keyboard that you're comfortable using (whilst you guys decide amongst yourselves who was / is / will be captain of the selection committeee)!
Now, if no-one wants the armband and it comes with a degree of kudos...

Not quite there yet El Neilio, but close. If I or anyone else click on your FPL button at present,I get to see "my team",not yoursEl Neilio 10 wrote:

If you look on your team page, where it tells you the number playing, under the pic of your all pink team strip, you'll see "history",
Click on "history" and on the top of your history page you'll see your id (never mind that you haven't actually got a history with FPL yet)

All of the other team members PM'd me and asked me to step up as captain for the good of the team.Digsby wrote:[but then I'm not the skipper (although I was in our 5-a-side 1st year.......how did I get sacked?????)
Reluctantly, I agreed, but only on condition that you were to be kept on in a playing capacity and I would keep my eye on you.

Re: FPL Poker 5 a side team
FPL button now updated and apparently "working" - Thanks Grob!
Elated that I can finally stop pricking myself too - I'm in the team - It's so real...
Looked through a few of the threads and noticed the impressive team performance last season (top half) and the fact that the nuts were never on the wrong end of a 5-0 mauling (unlike certain other teams).
So I know I'm joining the right team!
Now to scrutinise my picks. I might be a while...

Hi guys. Happy to stay in, but wasn't very active in the threads last year, so if someone else wants to give the 5AS piece a go, happy to step aside!

Re: FPL Poker 5 a side team
My XV's ready - bang on 100M (not sure that's wise! )
Can't wait to go "live" - just hope I can now stop tinkering with it (ideally with no fresh injury concerns etc) though finding it hard to resist.
Until I receive further instructions then... (No rush, of course!)
Ps. Will refrain from revealing my hand in those RMT threads but if any other team member wants to check I haven't filled it with 15 lemons, would happily pm it (under armed guard ).

Re: FPL Poker 5 a side team
With the season less than 24 hours away, I take it there's nothing left to do (ie. it's all "automated" now)? Good luck team mates and let's av 'em!
Think I'll go try find who we're actually up against, first!

Any one fancy this?
We have 3 automatically registered from last (myself, Digsby and Grant) year but need 2 more?

Pick me, pick me!
Do I have to do anything or just run my FPL team as normal?

Re: FPL Poker 5 a side team
Your in.
Once I get confirmation that we are not too late to get in the league I'll send you a code for a mini league that you have to join and after that just run your team as normal and follow our progress in the various 5AS threads.
One more needed, roll up roll up....

Re: FPL Poker 5 a side team
Excuse me intruding, but if you're still a man short and bearing in mind tomorrow night's deadline for Captain's Declarations, why don't you post an invitation on the 5AS Recruitment thread, explaining you've one vacancy to fill and if any of those on the long waiting list hoping to play this season also play poker, would they please make themselves known ?
