They won't give it to a keeper in a side who scored 3 goals surely?

They might do - there were some pretty good saves and very confident control of the area. I'd think it would have been more likely though if he hadn't let any goal in.

It may got to Cole, but Vassell would be my choice.

Vassell was impressive today. He's the forgotten man of English strikers and there are a lot of contenders right now but if he keeps it up then could he force his way back into Sven's thoughts?

I dunno, he can't finish to save his life. That has always been his problem IMO. He causes problems with his pace, and today showed that he can link up well with Cole but he isn't a goalscorer and to play at International level I think you need to be able to score goals.

Today, he was MOTM I think, but I think he is quite far behind in the queue to be England striker.

My MOTM was Joey Barton, closely followed by Cole. Vassell did well for Cole's second, but other than that was his usual distinctly average self imo. As for pushing his way back into Sven's mind... :? :?:

He also linked up well for Coles first.

All your suggestions played very well, as did the whole Man City team, but Musampa was MOM for me. Cole will get it but Musampa edged it for me!

I'm praying for Lampard, VDS and any ManC player except Cole.

Any suggestions for Villa MOM?

According to that PPLive program, ESPN named Davis as MOTM. The public vote went with Phillips. No idea who the Telegraph will go for. :?

Are people just listing players in their teams?

Musampa may have been better tahn lately, but how many chances did he waste?
