This Vestergaard move is messing me up already. More chance of getting 7pts in 3 games from 2.2 def than a 2.2 mid imo

Southampton just bought a new striker from Blackburn in the shape of Adam Armstrong so you'd expect him to feature more than Tella

Just found this little treasure trove. Helped me decide one or two things. Put doubts in my mind on a few others lol.

I'm kind of thinking of going for Toney for the 3 games up to int break at least. Could be a gamble but he's on pens and I have a feeling he might get me 15 pts in the first 3 games which is what you are looking for from a 4-5m player imo. Plus it would be good to watch the first game tonight with a vested interest. Anyone else feeling the same way?

I've picked him in one team, but it's more based on received wisdom/optimism than any actual knowledge of my own. Cheapie strikers used to be the holy grail until all the differing formation options were introduced. There's loads of good options in midfield or even defence for a similar price. If he does get 15 points in three games then he'll be staying in my team

It’s also an option if you don’t see any of the high priced strikers as a week 1 value pick, given there’s no available formations without a striker. Although it does potentially then take 2 transfers to get Kane or Lukaku in if you don’t want to stick with Toney or another cheap striker alongside them going forwards.

I have Toney to Barnes or Ward-Prowse in my head right now. I am 4-3-3

EDIT apparently he is 2.9. Did he change price or did I get it wrong? Either way logic still applies, if not quite so much of an apparent, if not guaranteed, bargain.
Don't say you weren't warned.

Shame I only listened to my own warning with 3 teams.

Players whose price starts with a 2 and have made it into double figures below. Annoyingly I had a ponder about Gallagher pre season but his WBA stats weren't that good and you never know about a loan player with a new manager getting regular starts. Looks good value now though.

Might need a few of them, to get Ronaldo, Bruno, Lukaku, Salah and Kane in ;) (And that’s before even considering any City coverage…)

Gallagher is a better prospect with Benteke off the pitch 😉

7 points yesterday.

Being home to Norwich helped overcome the gashness...

Hard to believe that he and Lukaku were once fighting it out to be Belgium’s striker to spearhead the golden generation…

True, but then it comes down to monkeys and organ grinders ie Eddie or Zaha\Gallagher?

Great stuff @Darbyand, thanks for that. Really useful for the Ronaldo and others conundrum.

Yeah. So many other senior, potential first choicers but he keeps getting the nod.

A transfer waiting to happen but for now he seems a good enabler. May even get his rests in the CL but anything could happen.....
