TFF chit chat 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th May
FRIDAY 7TH MAY
Leicester City 20:00 Newcastle United
This full set of fixtures kicks off on Friday at 8pm with a match between Leicester and Newcastle at the King Power. The Foxes are still in a Champions League spot but were held to a 1-1 draw against 10-man Southampton last time out. Iheanacho is still racking up the points. Newcastle may have lost against Arsenal last weekend but are pretty much safe from relegation now. Wilson is back.
SATURDAY 8TH MAY
Leeds United 12:30 Tottenham Hotspur
The Saturday lunch time fixture is at 12:30 and features Leeds v Tottenham Hotspur. Leeds are the best of the promoted sides and are sat comfortably in mid table. Spurs still have a chance of a top 5 finish and Bale put in a man of the match performance against Sheffield United last time out, scoring a hat trick while Kane returned a measly 2 points.
Sheffield United 15:00 Crystal Palace
In the traditional Saturday at 3pm spot is Sheffield United against Crystal Palace. Both sides lost last weekend, both sides failed to score. Sheff Utd are already relegated back to the Championship. Amazingly Crystal Palace, who have only picked up 4 points in their past 5 matches, are sat in 13th.
Manchester City 17:30 Chelsea
At 5:30pm this Saturday we have the weekend's biggest match, the Champions League Final rehearsal, with Chelsea travelling to the Ethiad to take on Manchester City. City can win the title today with a win and Pep restored Sergio Aguero to the starting line up last weekend. He promptly scored. Mount and Werner scored for Chelsea in midweek.
Liverpool 20:15 Southampton
The late match is Southampton v "Southampton Old Boys" at Anfield. Liverpool's game last weekend against Man U was postponed so they've had a couple of weeks to prepare for this game. Southampton recorded a 1-1 draw against Leicester last time out but Vestergaard was given his marching orders which was later rescinded so is available to play. No Ings for Saints.
SUNDAY 9TH MAY
Wolverhampton Wanderers 12:00 Brighton & Hove Albion
Sunday's early game features Wolverhampton Wanderers up against Brighton & Hove Albion at Molineux. Wolves drew against WBA last Monday but have nothing to play for this season so may be on the beach for this one. Brighton are literally always on the beach but are 10 points of the relegation zone so could be figuratively on the beach too.
Aston Villa 14:05 Manchester United
At 2.05pm, Aston Villa against Manchester United. The mighty Villa have a game in hand over their closest rivals and are currently sat in 10th place. Manchester Utd had their game last weekend postponed but played (and lost) in the Europa League on Thursday. They have games on Tuesday and Thursday too. The Red Devils have a couple of players in good form - Cavani, Greenwood.
West Ham United 16:30 Everton
The late afternoon match kicks off at 4:30pm and features West Ham and Everton. The toffees are possibly too far back to challenge for one of the European spots but have a game in hand over a couple of their rivals. The Hammers however are definitely in with a chance of European football next season so will be looking for a win today. Michail Antonio is back from injury and looking sharp.
Arsenal 19:00 West Bromwich Albion
The Sunday evening game is Arsenal versus West Brom at the Emirates. The Gunners were in Europa League action on Thursday night, a nil-nil draw dumped them out of the competition. After their latest defeat, West Brom manager Big Sam has reluctantly admitted that the Baggies are more or less relegated back to the Championship.
MONDAY 10TH MAY
Fulham 20:00 Burnley
And finally for now, Fulham v Burnley is the Monday Night Fixture. Fulham are are sat in 18th in the final relegation spot, and have recorded a single draw in their last five matches. Burnley are 9 points clear of the drop and Ch Wood has found the back of the net 4 times in their last 2 games.
Games on every day from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive.

Goalscorer Albrighton started in place of Jonny Evans, who limped down the tunnel after picking up an injury in the warm-up.

Anyone taking a punt on Bale? Or, even better, took a punt on him before the last Spurs game (not me unfortunately).

Re: TFF chit chat 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th May
I seem to have spent the last 4 months or so with my best team positioned in the 3000s with the occasional visit to the low 4000s.
Son's goal has temporarily put me 2980th. That counts as a small victory in this shite season of mine.
EDIT Bamford knows me back to 3022nd

Get used to it. He does that every time you sell him and continues to do so until you buy him again. Very reliable in that respect.Spinynorman wrote:So after I ejected him from all of my TFF, FPL and SDT teams Sterling finally scores.

Re: TFF chit chat 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th May
Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams start for Liverpool in this evening’s Anfield encounter with Southampton.
The duo begin in the centre of defence for the Premier League fixture, while Ozan Kabak, James Milner, Naby Keita and Ben Davies are ruled out due to minor injury concerns.
Roberto Firmino is the other player to make way from the Reds’ last outing as Jürgen Klopp makes two changes from the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United on April 24.
Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, R. Williams, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Thiago, Mane, Salah, Jota.
Subs: Adrian, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, Woodburn, N. Williams, Koumetio

High 35
Low 12 - a team in the final of the £25 cup so I'm saving transfers
Best team 13 - no excuses here - just clinging on to the top 1k (854th)
.... this season is fading away rapidly.
