Jota's proving to be a bit handy. Shame I haven't got him in any teams, anywhere whatsoever.

Re: TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th April
Morning all - well, did we all load up on Chelsea defenders!? That really was a stinking City team eh? Mahrez let me down big time, he could easily have had two.
Top score 36 (Jota and a few City starters)
Low 19
Best team 20 .... which has now been overtaken by the team that got 36

What’s everyone doing with their City players. I had 5 yesterday but took out Cancelo for Nat Phillips. I was going to take out Foden for Jota but same as Jester, didn’t bother when saw that he was on the bench. I have Stones, Diaz, Foden and Gundogan. I was planning on keeping Diaz, Stones and Gundogan, but I am now thinking their game time might also be limited.

Re: TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th April
My logic with City was that with bonus games (Cup still) and scoring well when they were in the team meant I could handle the odd bit of rotation and still get a respectable score BUT the excessive rotation is making that logic less sound and with the league virtually secure and the CL being prioritised I'm not as sure any more.

Re: TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th April
I’m with you. I haven’t got a clue. I’m defo going to take out Foden. I might leave Diaz and Stones in hoping that they will generally play most games and get clean sheets. I was going to stick with Gundogan but he now might be kept for the big games and has been pushed deeper. It might be a bit risky without City coverage but I’m not sure it’s Gundogan. I’m thinking KDB or Mahrez might be better.murf wrote: ↑04 Apr 2021, 08:45 My logic with City was that with bonus games (Cup still) and scoring well when they were in the team meant I could handle the odd bit of rotation and still get a respectable score BUT the excessive rotation is making that logic less sound and with the league virtually secure and the CL being prioritised I'm not as sure any more.

I’m looking at bringing Salah back for KDB soon. Better fixtures and more chance of bigger gains. KDB has to be the most frustrating FF player, brilliant player but doesn’t always translate to points.

MC rotation
True, Man City rotation was heavier than usual. But reason for wholesale changes this time may have been because Guardiola mainly picked those with limited or no game-time over the international fortnight.
This applies to nine of the starters at Leicester:
Aguero, Jesus, Fernandinho, Ederson and Mahrez (South American and African nations didn't have fixtures), de Bruyne (unused sub for Belgium on Tues), Rodri (on for eight minutes of Spain's match on Wed) and the Frenchmen Laporte (not in international squad) and Mendy (unused sub on Wed). Only Dias (Portugal, Tues) and Stones (Eng, Wed) played 90 minutes in midweek.
So City XI may revert to being less unpredictable next time...

Re: MC rotation
Klopp also does that regularly. Milner and Firmino came back in yesterday after easy breaks whereas Jota and Wijnaldum were rested after heavy international schedules. Both with half an eye on the CL and ongoing freshness though.....SamD wrote: ↑04 Apr 2021, 12:19 True, Man City rotation was heavier than usual. Thankfully no more international breaks this (domestic) season.
Burnley 1 up at Saints after a controversial VAR penalty (not watching)

Is VAR actually allowed to look at that???happyhoppy wrote:Yep VAR misses the initial foul on KWP hey ho par for our season tbh lost interest in the league this season just about safety.
Nice equaliser from Ings. Very cool as he made Mee then Tarkowski look like idiots before nutmegging the keeper.

Don’t see why not Murf. The tv monitor didn’t show a replay of that part only the KWP foul after
