TFF chit chat 2nd, 3rd and 4th February
TUESDAY 2ND FEBRUARY
Sheffield United 18:00 West Bromwich Albion
Tuesday kicks off with a relegation six-pointer between Sheffield United and West Brom. 19th place Brom have picked up 4 points in the last 5 games versus 20th place Sheff U who have collected 6. Pereira for WBA is the form player in this fixture. Would probably avoid defenders from both teams as they have a combined goal difference of -55. There was a lot of transfer action around the Hawthorns on transfer deadline day.
Wolverhampton Wanderers 18:00 Arsenal
The second of the 6pm matches is Wolves against Arsenal at Molineux. Wolves have been poor this year, having the worst form over the past five games, but they’ve recently brought in a new striker called Jose. In contrast, Arsenal are in really good form but are stuck in mid-table. Aubameyang still a doubt. On the transfer front Mustafi, Willock and Maitland-Niles out for the Gunners.
Manchester United 20:15 Southampton
The first of Tuesday’s 8:15pm games is Manchester United against Southampton at Old Trafford. The Red Devils were held to a draw on Saturday and have slipped to second in the table. Southampton were robbed of a late Danny Ings equaliser by VAR at the weekend and the Saints are in poor form coming into this one. Long out, Minamino in for Southampton.
Newcastle United 20:15 Crystal Palace
The last of the Tuesday fixtures is Newcastle v Crystal Palace. Newcastle pulled off one of the surprise results of the weekend, a couple of goals for Callum Wilson coupled with a clean sheet. Palace won too, an Eze goal giving them a one-nil victory against Wolves. Quite hard to predict the outcome of this one. The Magpies got Willock and lost Yedlin.
WEDNESDAY 3RD FEBRUARY
NOTE: THIS IS ANOTHER SINGLE FLANGE WEDNESDAY
Burnley 18:00 Manchester City
The first of the Wednesday 6pm matches takes place at the Happy Place and features Burnley against Manchester City. Burnley were without Barnes at the weekend but could return this evening. Man City snuck a one goal win over Sheff Utd on Saturday, Jesus on the scoresheet. Aguero is apparently fit again so could feature, possibly from the bench.
Fulham 18:00 Leicester City
The other 6 o’clock game sees Leicester travelling to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham. Fulham are still in the bottom three but have started to pick up the odd point here and there. Leicester suffered an unexpected defeat to Leeds on Sunday and have slipped to 4th as a result. This game comes a little too soon for the return of Vardy, Barnes and Maddison are in good form though. Fulham's major signing was Maja.
Leeds United 19:30 Everton
The troublesome 7:30pm fixture is Leeds against Everton at Elland Road. Leeds won at the weekend with Bamford returning to form with a goal and a couple of assists. Everton went down against Newcastle and their form can only be described as erratic at the moment. Calvert-Lewin was a popular replacement for the injured Kane, let’s hope he can blow some doors off tonight. Everton signed Joshua (Josh to his mates) King.
Aston Villa 20:15 West Ham United
Two matches at 20:15, the first of which features Aston Villa versus West Ham United. The Hammers are 3 points above Villa but Villa have a couple of games in hand over West Ham. Jack Grealish is the talisman for AV with Antonio being the equivalent in the WHU side. I’d say Craig Dawson is one to watch for the Hammers. All quiet on the transfer front.
Liverpool 20:15 Brighton & Hove Albion
The last of the Wednesday games is 3rd place Liverpool against 17th place Brighton. The Seagulls have been steadily picking up points recently and have a reasonable gap between themselves and the relegation zone. Liverpool saw the return to form of Salah at the weekend when he scored two goals against the Hammers. Liverpool have signed a couple of centre back to cover the season-long loss of Matip. A striker by the name of Caicedo replaces Murray at Brighton.
THURSDAY 4TH FEBRUARY
Tottenham Hotspur 20:00 Chelsea
And finally, the Thursday match is a London derby between Spurs and Chelsea. Tottenham will be without Kane for this one and Jose is probably still smarting after being beaten by Brighton at the weekend. Carlos Vinícius Alves Morais came on at half-time. Mr Tickle recorded his first Chelsea victory at the weekend with a couple of defenders getting on the scoresheet. Abraham started but was subbed at half-time. Nothing doing on transfer deadline day.

Great effort morganb with all these games, a full time job!
Apparently we have Mike Dean as referee tonight who was on VAR duty v Villa and the ref then is the 4th official tonight so you can appreciate I'm not overly optimistic of getting many decisions.
Odds on a Bruno penalty please?

All good prices if they start (maybe not Sanson but I know next to nothing about him, could be good with lockdown hair)

Re: TFF chit chat 2nd, 3rd and 4th February
Nothing doing transfer wise for me today I think. Just sit tight and watch it all fall apart as usual is the plan.
I am thinking maybe of replacing Meslier (gasp!) with some of the spare cash from only having one up top and Kane out etc. Maybe Villa keeper? Anyone else got as exciting plans?

Having decided I refuse to make any changes this week, the only question is which of my players will get crocked to necessitate a reluctant transfer from the dwindling stock.

Interestingly the leaderboards show which teams are now Public.
Less interestingly you have to scroll down to 73rd to find one that is actually set to public!
Oooh... Billy Sharp scores as I type. Still no CS.
