Will he stay fit long enough to act as cover til Kane returns?

Can’t recommend any saints attacking players and Ings doesn’t look quite right to me and we don’t look like we are going to score much. That said we have a great record v Villa!

The most blatant intentional handball I've seen for a while.
Pen and red card it should have been

Looks like do nothing was the best option if you were choosing strikers today.

Fingers crossed Mourinho was pulling everybody's leg and Kane starts tomorrow. Down to %28

Even the most optimistic reports say a couple of weeks. He's only had 3 days off so doubt that's happening as no way he could be 100%.

On top of the most blatant handball ever this result is hard to take.

His armpit is further to the left than the line isn't it? Hard to take indeed

In other news ....
My top team for this week has 111 points and is 31st in the weekly, 17 points behind the leader .... with 4 transfers left :?

No - I'm an idiot - only 2 transfers left. Which I'm kinda pleased about as at least I don't have a decision to make now :)

I can see tank tops becoming de rigueur in next season’s kits.

Villa fan here, completely agree both should have gone against us. But I like to think its evened out bý the offside given against watkins v west ham and the man city goal that was 10 yards offside.

In the image Ings was very, very slightly offside as was Son v Liverpool and dozens of others but the system is not sufficiently accurate to be able to judge to that minute and pedantic degree of accuracy. For starters, the image wasn't taken at the time the ball left the foot - with a non-analogue system it was a fraction of a second before or after that.

There should be a need for an offside by a certain amount (to negate the inaccuracy) and, if not, they go with the linesman 's call.

"Level" was changed to be onside a few years back to help attacking play. Ings was level. Son was level.

It made more goals possible and this is taking loads away. Rubbish. The Dutch system would work well for these:

Striker options were a bit of a damp squib yesterday and luckily I held off. I know Chelsea is a bit of an unknown with a new manager but their upcoming games look decent. Burnley, Spurs, Sheff U, Barnsley (Cup), Newcastle, Southampton.

Werner isn’t doing it but if Abraham starts could he be a decent option?

My team is 352, therefore I’m also tempted with Chillwell cos they seemed tight against Wolves and he is playing as a wing back so potential for returns at both ends.

What do you reckon?

Abraham didn't start last game did he?

Too many options with Giroud and Werner. I'd hold fire til we know who Touche Turtle eventually favours.

Absolutely agree, forwards who play on the shoulder are suffering and as fans we cant celebrate a goal incase the rulers come out.

I'm not against using VAR for real obvious howlers (e.g. sending off wrong player, ball going off pitch before goal, player wrongly given offside when they're behind the ball or the ball is played backwards). But the obsession with marginal offside calls is absolutely killing the product, as the authorities will discover when fans are brought back.

Chilwell and Zouma benched, Mount, Alonso, Werner and Abraham all start, so Mr Tickle is shaking things up a bit.

Chilwell being dropped is a bummer, wasn't expecting that after they got their first PL clean sheet in weeks the other day.

Abraham looks like a better shout than Werner based on the stats. Just a game time question.

Normally I’m happy to make transfers, which are either good decisions, or most usually bad decisions. But today, I genuinely don’t know what to do.
