TFF chit chat 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th November
Friday 27th November
Crystal Palace 20:00 Newcastle United
The week kicks off with a Friday Night fixture between Crystal Palace and Newcastle. Both teams were losers last time out and there are only two whole points separating both teams. Zaha went down with the Covid last weekend and is out for this one. Wilson looks like he’s back for the Magpies but Fraser is out (and Godfrey plays for Everton). DeLorean owners across the land are hoping Ben Techie gets on the scoresheet.
Saturday 28th November
Brighton & Hove Albion 12:30 Liverpool
Saturday’s early game on Sky features Reading v Bristol City but if you get bored of that one you can change to BT to watch Brighton v Liverpool. Salah played in midweek so should be fit for this one, meanwhile having no TAA, Gomez or Van Dijk last time out in the League caused no probs for the ‘Pool. Lamptey out for the Seagulls due to a red card. Last week was a good week for DeLorean drivers with Welbeck on the scoresheet.
Manchester City 15:00 Burnley
Burnley are on their travels from their happy place this weekend as they are away at the Ethiad. Manchester City sit in 13th place and are not the team they used to be. Guess who’s back, back again? Sergio’s back. Transfers to spend? Burnley finally won a game last weekend to nudge them just above the relegation zone. They kept a clean sheet too which can't be bad.
Everton 17:30 Leeds United
At 17:30 it is early leaders, Everton, against a lower-to-mid-table Leeds. Everton still have DCL in fine form and with Richarlison back Everton were on the scoresheet in double quick time last time out. Leeds have been plucky but only have one win to show for their last 5 games. Digne is out for the Toffees as he's due to have surgery.
West Bromwich Albion 20:00 Sheffield United
The game you have all been waiting for next – twentieth place Sheffield United versus nineteenth place West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns. West Bromwich Albion have scraped three draws so far this season, a couple more that Sheffield United has managed. Nothing to see here from a Telegraph Fantasy Football point of view…
Sunday 29th November
Southampton 14:00 Manchester United
Sunday’s early game sees Southampton welcoming Man Utd to St Mary’s. The Saints are up to the heady heights of 5th whereas Man United are sat in 10th but with a game in hand over most of those around them. Bruno Fernandes is the man to have for Man U. Last week was a good week for DeLorean drivers with Theo Walcott on the scoresheet for Southampton for the first time since 2006.
Chelsea 16:30 Tottenham Hotspur
Artisan apples and pears, a London derby and a top of the table clash to boot Mary Poppins! Spurs are top of the shop and the dynamic duo of Son and Kane have been working wonders for them this season (beating Man City didn’t go amiss either). Chelsea have discovered the art of the clean sheet in recent weeks and Werner has finally found his feet, just after you all transferred him out.
Arsenal 19:15 Wolverhampton Wanderers
The Sunday Night Fixture sees Wolves travelling to London to take on Arsenal at the Emirates. The Gunners have only collected 4 points out of their last possible 15 so will be looking for a win today. No Pepe or Partey for Arsenal this weekend. Wolves eked out a draw against Soton last time out to leave them a point above Arsenal.
Monday 30th November
Leicester City 17:30 Fulham
Monday’s early game is Leicester against Fulham. Leicester are sat in the top 4 and prior to their recent loss to Liverpool they had recorded three straight wins. They were in high-score-drawing Europa League action on Thursday. Vardy is still the main man for the Foxes. Fulham are in the bottom 3. Fulham can not score penalties. Fulham is not the place to go looking for TFF points.
West Ham United 20:00 Aston Villa
And finally, two teams who play In claret clash in the Monday Night Fixture with West Ham United taking on Aston Villa. Villa will look to Grealish for inspiration. West Ham’s talisman, Antonio, is only 50% to make this game. Barkley looks to be missing for the mighty Villa. The two teams are separated by a single point so this should be a competitive match.
Crystal Palace 20:00 Newcastle United

Zaha went down with the Covid last weekend and is out for this one. Wilson looks like he’s back for the Magpies but Fraser is out (and Godfrey plays for Everton). What about Basham, Perreira and Diangana? My teams were loaded with them a little while ago - and I've still got a Sheff U block..morganb wrote:West Bromwich Albion 20:00 Sheffield United

Mind you anyone still with them should be considering firing up the flux capacitor and setting the DeLorean transfer machine for the 3th of October .

HIgh of 10 points in 2 teams, one of which is my top team - courtesy of Callum Wilson. It's all downhill from here

They have more limited appeal when the high priced forwards are outscoring them and budget is no longer an issue.Jamjack wrote:Wilson has outperformed his price that’s for sure. Don’t quite remember a year with so many appealing budget (ish) and mid priced strikers.
(Wilson has just sneaked into top 3 scoring strikers but only 2pts clear of Vardy who has yet to play)

Normally there is one or two to pick from / everybody has the same one but this year it’s a bit more interesting (so far).

Not really but probably not far off in terms of expectations. Playing 4 up top today with Minamino and only played 2 of the 4 in midweek. Also affected by lack of fit midfielders.Darbyand wrote:Has it become any 3 from 4 up front (sometimes all 4) with Jota as likely to play as anyone esle?

Mane was about to come on but Jota (Salah) may have delayed that.
EDIT - only delayed for a couple of minutes. Salah (grumpily) off.

nah citys attack just looking too poor atm. Pep roulette wheel is about to burst soon, with him keeping the england boys on the bench and playing the inept mahrez and newb torres. His selections just dont make sense atm. Is he trying to tell board something by keeping his best players bar kdb on the bench. bizarre

Possibly the best after match interview since Keegan. Hats off to the interviewer. Went on and on full on argument between them.

Yep that was good. BT Sport consistently picking a game involving one of the Wednesday night teams is a bit silly. But it's very odd for Klopp to make it personal with the post match interviewer (Des Kelly).
