It's all OPTA assists now, and I believe any touch from any other player (GK included) will negate an assist. I certainly would have given it back in the days of KCs

Noticed that Che and Theo got 5 but doesn’t put an assist against the goalscorers or their names. Image

The whole thing is crap this year. Can't believe that Adams( i have him) has still got 5, digne is still showing as banned and in my team review page every player I bring in shows as double the points for the first game they play for me, although the team total is correct.

And if you're in multiple leagues and go from one to the next a) you have to keep going back to the leagues page and b) there's an even chance it'll show you the last one you looked at not the next one you've clicked on.

It show both on top of each other usually for me. A quick 'refresh' sorts it out but you'd think they would have fixed all these bugs and features by now,

With regard to easing access to multiple TFF super leagues, I set up links to each in the Favourites bar, eg:

Fiso Tenner SL: https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk ... 881/ladder

From what I can see, TFF now award ASSISTS in the same way as the FPL game i.e. its more than simply what OPTA call "Goal assists"; instead it also includes some of what OPTA call "Fantasy Goal Assists", with these 'extras' including situations where a player:

* Is fouled, leading to a goal scored direct from the resulting free kick (by another player)
* Makes a shot that is saved by the keeper and put-away (by another player)
* Has the last touch before an Own Goal is scored
* Has his shot hit the woodwork and the rebound is scored from (by another player)

It could be that the feed for the Match Centre software is only providing the "standard" Goal-Assist data

The live Match Centre (even in KC days) has always only shown OPTA Assists.

I didn't realise OPTA themselves also provided 'fantasy goal assists'. They could explain why the live scoring, this season, has actually been pretty prompt at giving the 3 points for TFF Assists that weren't OPTA Assists.

If so, does that mean FPL Assists and TFF Assists are now identical with both relying on OPTA 'fantasy goal assist' awards???

That's what I'm thinking Murf. Here's the link to the OPTA definitions that I found. (Scroll down to see the Assist info). However I still don't think FPL (or TFF) use every one of the extra "fantasy assists" here e.g. those for a "Heavily deflected pass or cross"

All getting quite intriguing.

Can anybody remember for sure/find where TFF told us more about what constitutes an assist this year?

I was pretty sure saved shots counted but blocked shots didn't but I could be wrong.

Also 'interesting' that they give 'second assists'.....

Crikey! There was me thinking I played this game for enjoyment. This is harder to follow than the day job! I’m going to revert to ignorance being bliss and start treating assists on the basis of “will they, won’t they, what will I wake up to on Christmas morning”!

Hasenhuttl on Ings: "The worst is Danny Ings. We are in an unhappy situation to be honest because it could be much worse. At the moment he is out for four to six weeks and will have surgery tomorrow morning, small surgery hopefully."

Ralph explained to me that Danny Ings tried to train yesterday but they quickly realised there was a problem

He has a small meniscus issue and they’ve made a decision to have a routine surgery now and not risk it further - injury is unrelated to old knee problems

Great to have someone on FISO with direct links to a boss. I was only saying to Jurgen last night that we could with more of that.

Good news for Adams holders in terms of him playing every game but likely to miss his partner up front.

Any LFC fans care to speculate on the chances of Jota shoving out Bobby Pearldrops on a more permanent basis?

Thanks Hoppy. I have to say I had my doubts about the initial prognosis based on Ings reaction on the pitch. The delayed update saved me a Bamford transfer I’m sure I would have regretted! I didn’t have the cash for Vardy so now I’ve thinking time - not that it will do me any good obviously.

Real blow for Southampton. He has been a consistent menace for every opposition

I think it is most likely that the 4 will almost take in turns to be 'dropped' - although he has played all 4 together too (less 'need' now with Keita and Thiago fit). With the CL group looking like a formality maybe the need to rest players in league games will be less for a few weeks so we might see Jurgen's plans/preferences more clearly but for now it is still a bit muddy. City up next so that should be 'first choice' whatever that is - possibly Jota dropped as Jurgen plays what he knows and trusts?? I would have expected a Mane or Salah rest at the weekend for lesser opposition.

Can use up to 6.7m to replace Ings so in a good position but he was a nice consistent scorer who was likely to be season long. Always better when you don't have to make decisions.

Fitness wise he was never likely to be season long. Shame though, has deserved his good form.

Can afford to replace Ings with anyone. Kane is the obvious one, although I see Werner seems to have taken over penalty duties for Chelsea with two tonight which obviously improves his point scoring potential (until it turns out he's caught Covid from Havertz!).

haha this season is a joke. So far I have had 3 covid cases and 4 long term injuries :(

... let alone the usual transfers I have frivolously wasted ;)
