Re: TFF launch
Seems to me that there is a real flaw in the way TFF are updating scores this season (i.e. instantaneously). They update the leagues at the same time, so it's pretty easy to work out which of your rivals have certain key players if you keep an eye on the tables during the games. So much for all teams being private....

Re: TFF launch
Yep, pretty ridiculous. I haven't got the time or inclination to check all my rivals teams but I'm sure someone out there has already set something up to automatically harvest data...zipnolan wrote: ↑20 Sep 2020, 13:59 Seems to me that there is a real flaw in the way TFF are updating scores this season (i.e. instantaneously). They have to change this as the season progresses, surely! Less of an issue in early season were knowing who others have in their team is less important but in the last few months this will mean the teams are effectively public and that’s never been the case with the Telegraph (or other games?).

Which is rather ironic as teams that we would like to be public can't be.

Re: TFF launch
I hadn’t thought about that. Brilliant! On current form they will “resolve” this issue by just making all the teams public!

Re: TFF launch
Is there any way of seeing your team value without going back to the summary page (which itself is terrible, what happened to the grid of scores and places) and memorising it for each team?
Edit: just realised you can pretend to start making transfers and it'll show you then.

Even then it only tells you spare cash (easy maths but I'm used to thinking a certain way after all these years)

Who knows...Art Vandelay wrote:Quick question, where's the golden boot leaderboard?
Whilst looking I noted there are 3 different Shearers in the top 12 with very suspicious team naming systems.....

Re: TFF launch
FanHub sent me an email to say the Golden Boot is only open to Assistant Manager subscribers, and a bit on the page linked below seems to suggest this is the case too.
Only time will tell if what they've told me is correct, but it was enough to put me off going for it this year.

Nothing at all about that in the T&Cs.......Johnners wrote: ↑21 Sep 2020, 23:10FanHub sent me an email to say the Golden Boot is only open to Assistant Manager subscribers, and a bit on the page linked below seems to suggest this is the case too.

Murf's right about the Ts and Cs though, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone else takes issue with the shades of grey in the small print and my email turns out to be a load of guff.
It's too late for me, but it might be worth you dropping them a line to get a second opinion, before you start performing surgery on your teams!

To their credit iirc they were quite good at rooting out an early multi cheat lest season. I nominate hoppy to report it on Twitter as he usually gets an instant reply

Re: TFF launch
I emailed and they confirmed "only subscription users have access to such leagues and prizes"
They really kept that well hidden. Poor.

Re: TFF launch
I find the lack of Starting XI points in leagues annoying too. It used to be useful to have an idea if/when others had used transfers, but there's no sign of it this year.
Personally don't particularly mind the instant points updates, but can see why it would annoy others, and people in my league have raised it.

Re: TFF launch
People are still pestering TFF about this on FB. And have had a response. Not sure if they're referring to the public option or the messageboard. And if they're even serious about doing either .....but you never know.

Are the leagues updated in real time? Looks like today's is up to date already and the United game only finished ten minutes ago.

Yes. Usually. All updated during the game each time a single point changes.Jester wrote:Are the leagues updated in real time? Looks like today's is up to date already and the United game only finished ten minutes ago.

It’s wrong especially with the way games are scheduled this year. I’m hoping it’s fixed in line with public/private teams feature
