TUESDAY 14TH JANUARY

THIRD ROUND - REPLAY

Newcastle 19:45 Rochdale

First up, Newcastle versus Rochdale. In the first game it was Newcastle who struck first through Almiron, who appears to be picking up some form recently. However Rochdale struck back 11 minutes from time causing this replay. The Magpies fielded a strong team in the previous game so you’d except similar tonight.

Tranmere 19:45 Watford

The second of the Tuesday night fixtures takes us to Tranmere who face Watford. The Hornets were three-nil up but they threw it away in the first game. Watford will be hoping to continue with the good run of form that they are on. Imagine it will be a similar weakened team again.

Tottenham 20:05 Middlesbrough

Tuesday’s late game features Spurs against Boro. Tottenham must be firm favourites in this replay but their form has been poor recently and they are up against the team managed by the Championship manager of the month, Jonathan Woodgate. Spurs fielded a full strength side last time out and might do so again.

WEDNESDAY 15TH JANUARY

THIRD ROUND - REPLAY

Man Utd 19:45 Wolves

The only game on Wednesday is an all Prem affair between Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Both teams are likely to field teams sprinkled with household names mixed up with some youngsters and bench warmers. Wolves have played a lot of games this season though.

Got to all go to form and offer us loads of points. Hasn't it??????

(Son and Alli owe me - it was this game that gave them a reprieve before City's pointsfest yesterday)

Will probably be rearranged for 4th round weekend - meaning the winners (and losers) of Wolves v Man U will have the weekend off - and maybe another game will get shifted so BT have a game to show at the desired time.

361? Why that number? Is it how many points I have lost by buying Spurs players sinve the start of 2019?

Follow up to two posts around 2pm today:

Watford could play four games in nine days following the postponement of their FA Cup third-round replay at Tranmere due to heavy rainfall.

The rescheduled match will now be played next Thursday (23 January), following Saturday's game against Tottenham and Tuesday's meeting with relegation rivals Aston Villa.

If they defeat Tranmere, Watford will play either Wolves or Manchester United on Sunday, 26 January.

They are also the only 2 players I have tonight .... hoping for a cameo appearance from one or both.

I looked at Almiron & Joelinton but decided against it (put a couple of bob on either of them getting a hat trick)

YI*2

Matt Ritchie gets the KC on an EOC OG.

Mongstaff scores the second.

Hel-lo! Spurs ahead too. Lo (Celso, not Son, not Alli, not Kane, not any other Spurs blokes either)

Got the first bit right.

As for the second bit, I will just console myself with the fact that Spurs play first at the weekend.

Son on

Alli on

...and all Spurs do after their 2 early goals is concede!

So...

High = 2

Low = 0

Best team = 1 (will it rise?)

Rashford benched, number 2 keepers, otherwise quite strong.

I rose with 1pt yesterday. Probably not today.

Man Utd: Romero, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams, Fred, Matic, Greenwood, Mata, James, Martial. Subs: Jones, Rashford, Grant, Lingard, Andreas Pereira, Dalot, Chong.
Wolverhampton: Ruddy, Dendoncker, Coady, Saiss, Doherty, Joao Moutinho, Neves, Jonny, Traore, Jimenez, Pedro Neto. Subs: Bennett, Rui Patricio, Gibbs-White, Ruben Vinagre, Kilman, Ashley-Seal, Rasmussen.
