TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th December
Note the 19:30 & 20:15 kick off times over the next few nights
TUESDAY 3RD DECEMBER
Crystal Palace 19:30 Bournemouth
Note the early, early kick off of 19:30 for the first of the Tuesday matches. Crystal Palace were one of only two teams to keep a clean sheet at the weekend. Zaha scored again. Bournemouth managed two goals by ex-Prime Minister Harold Wilson against Spurs, but they still lost.
Burnley 20:15 Man City
There is a 15 minute window of opportunity between 19:15 and 19:30 to see the team sheets for both of this evening’s matches, the second of which sees Manchester City travelling to Fortress Turf Moor to take on Burnley. Not an easy trip under any circumstances but City are on a form wobble at the moment. Burnley are comfortable in mid table and have the attacking duo of Wood and Barnes up front.
WEDNESDAY 4TH DECEMBER
Chelsea 19:30 Aston Villa
The first of Wednesday’s batch of matches features Aston Villa on their travels to Stamford Bridge where they face Chelsea. The Blues suffered a shock defeat against West Ham on Saturday and are missing the injured Abraham. Villa got a draw against fallen giants Man Utd on Sunday with Grealish impressing again.
Leicester 19:30 Watford
Two goals on Sunday for Leicester, the first was Vardy and the second was decided by VAR. Can the Foxes be seen as true title contenders? I learnt a song about Watford at the weekend - They've been to Stamford Bridge, the Ethiad, Liverpool away, but now they're going Luton Town, Luton Town away. Luton Town away.
Man Utd 19:30 Tottenham
Jose’s old team against his new team next. A revitalised Spurs travel to Ole Trafford to take on a faltering Manchester United side. Alli has found some form but Kane has been quiet. From a TFF viewpoint Rashford is almost carrying United single handed at the moment.
Southampton 19:30 Norwich
The Saints go marching in to St Mary’s next where Norwich are the visitors. 'And Pukki scores!' rang around Carrow Road on Sunday, and Cantwell has returned to his early season form. Southampton fought back to beat Watford on Saturday with Ings scoring again.
Wolves 19:30 West Ham
Wolves welcome West Ham to Wolverhampton this Wednesday. Wolves are incapable of keeping a clean sheet at the moment. All things considered, West Ham probably had the surprise win of the weekend with their 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge where Antonio played up front and Haller was dropped.
Liverpool 20:15 Everton
There is a 15 minute window of opportunity between 19:15 and 19:30 to see the team sheets for all of this evening’s matches. The Merseyside derby is Wednesday’s late game with table topping Liverpool up against relegation threatened Everton. Liverpool are still eeking out results while the Toffees find themselves in a sticky position. No Alisson for this one due to red card on Saturday.
THURSDAY 5TH DECEMBER
Sheff Utd 19:30 Newcastle
Thursday’s early game features Sheffield United against Newcastle at Bramall Lane. Mousset, eh? What’s that all about. Newcastle managed a draw against Man City on Saturday, coming from behind twice. Sheffield United were held to a draw by Wolves but are well clear of relegation.
Arsenal 20:15 Brighton
There is a 15 minute window of opportunity between 19:15 and 19:30 to see the team sheets for both of this evening’s matches. And finally, Arsenal v Brighton. Freddie Ljungberg's first home game has Brighton as the visitors. Aubameyang hit two on Sunday while the backline conceded two. Meanwhile the Seagulls lost to 10 man Liverpool and have slipped to 16th.

Just to say that the traditional Christmas Sporcle will be running again this year once I get around to making a 2019 thread. Like previous years we will be looking for volunteer question setters.

Well played Morgan and an excellent spot about the 15 minutes gaps.
19:30 kick offs! What is going on? Next thing they'll be having games
on Sundays and letting women play.
I resign.

There is a window of just 15 minutes (7:15-7:30) when you will have all teamsheets available and are able to overload the transfer servers due to the strange flange configurations.
Happy transferring and happy sporcling!
I'm hoping to do less of the former than the latter but....

Re: TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th December
Does anybody know how long the streaming lag is / will be for Amazon Prime games?
Worried I might be watching a game "live" and find out about a goal on t'internet/FISO before it happens on Amazon.

Yep, or play with your new drill while watching?
I do hope that you don't intend doing anything practical with it

Re: TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th December
Will there be a delay as I'm streaming?
Yes, unfortunately you're going to see things a short while after they actually happen, so if you don't prepare properly you might know about a goal before you see it hit the back of the net. This is normal with online streaming.
Analysts from streaming firm Phenix said Amazon's broadcast of the US Open was often up to 45 seconds behind the TV transmission.
The BBC has worked out how to eliminate streaming lag - but it could take years for that fix to be implemented.
So for the meantime, fans might have to avoid watching the games alongside Twitter updates, text messaging or BBC Sport goal alerts. Or even, gulp, put your phone down for 45 minutes

Your 6:30(!) team news:
Palace make one change as Mamadou Sakho comes in for Scott Dann at the back.
Bournemouth make four changes as Adam Smith, Chris Mepham, Phil Billing and Harry Wilson all come in.
PS If anyone is bored... try working out the leading Premier League scorer with all the letters of 'Prime' in their name. (Yes somebody has worked it out and somebody else published it somewhere and yes somebody (me) is repeating it here).

Well, I've downloaded the app and got it working as a test, the picture looks good on my phone and I've not noticed any buffering etc so... so far, so good.

It's not going well for Palace .... nor PVA owners
"Maybe Patrick van Aanholt just overstretched his hamstring and he is not one they will take a risk with. Is Jeffrey Schlupp warmed up and ready to go? It's a blow for them."
