TFF chit chat 25th, 26th and 27th October
Note: see FISO's article on predicted lineups for Liverpool, Man City, Leicester, Chelsea and Arsenal .
FRIDAY 25TH OCTOBER
Southampton 20:00 Leicester
First up, a Friday night fixture featuring Leicester away on the South Coast against Southampton. Danny Ings has been performing well recently but Southampton are still hanging around the bottom of the table. Leicester are the high flying Foxes at the moment, currently perched in 3rd place in the table.
SATURDAY 26TH OCTOBER
Man City 12:30 Aston Villa
Saturday's lunch time kick-off sees Aston Villa travelling to the Ethiad to face Manchester City. City were free scoring in midweek with Sterling taking the plaudits. Villa are doing well, sat comfortably in mid-table. Wesley and Grealish both in fine form at the moment.
Brighton 15:00 Everton
To the AmEx next where Everton are the visitors. Brighton have had a couple of unfamiliar names on the score sheet in recent weeks - whatever happened to Glenn Murray? Everton are too close to the bottom for comfort but last week's victory has eased the pressure. Siggy and his spiders came off the bench to score.
Watford 15:00 Bournemouth
Bottom club Watford welcome Bournemouth to Vicarage Road. Watford will be buoyed by last weekend's result against Spurs though will be disappointed by the final result. Bournemouth will be hoping for better after last week's no score draw.
West Ham 15:00 Sheff Utd
It's the hardware derby next, with the Hammers versus the Blades. West Ham have slipped a bit in recent weeks so will be hoping to be back to winning ways today. Not so for Sheffield United as they recorded a famous victory over Arsenal on Monday and became the best of the promoted sides.
Burnley 17:30 Chelsea
Saturday's late fixture sees Chelsea on their travels to Fortress Turf Moor to take on Burnley. Burnley's front two, Barnes and Wood, have 4 goals each so far this season. Chelsea come into this game off of the back of a 1-0 win in Europe in midweek. Hudson-Odoi looks to be back fit.
SUNDAY 27TH OCTOBER
Newcastle 14:00 Wolves
Sunday's early kick-off takes Wolverhampton Wanderers to the North East to play Newcastle. Wolves won away from home in the Europa League on Thursday and will be hoping to continue that trend here. Newcastle are still in the bottom three though a win today coupled with favourable results yesterday could put them lower mid-table.
Arsenal 16:30 Crystal Palace
The first of the 16:30 matches is a London derby. Crystal Palace are off to the Emirates to play Arsenal. The Gunners got a late win on Thursday night - and Nicholas Pepe scored two! Crystal Palace are just behind Arsenal in the table so this should be incentive enough to go for the win.
Liverpool 16:30 Tottenham
The second of the late matches is a the weekend's big match - Liverpool welcome Spurs to Anfield for a reply of last season's Champions League final. Both Liverpool and Tottenham won in the Champions League this week, and both by comfortable margins. Spurs will be hoping they can replicate that form here. Liverpool have Salah back for this one.
Norwich 16:30 Man Utd
And finally, let's be having you down at Norwich versus Manchester United at Carrow Road. Norwich started the season well thanks to Cantwell and Pukki, but have slumped to 19th with no win in 4 games. Manchester United are sat in mid-table but won in the Europa League thanks to a Martial goal. Rashford scored in last weekend's Liverpool game.

The Long Adams are the gang of good guys (they are on the side of the saints).
I've read tonight's script and, unfortunately, it doesn't have The Long Adams riding to the rescue in the second half. Not at 4-0.

Any chance of a Soyuncu kc in there at all as I'm sure they'll somehow manage to concede and blow the cs at some point as per usual?

Put in one Chilwell for Zinchenko, should I have done it in both teams? How many points has he really got - not watching.

Re: TFF chit chat 25th, 26th and 27th October
Chilwell got 18 pts
Vardy & Perez 17
Tielemans 10
and 6 other players got 7+
I have a couple of Vardys, a couple of Schmeichels and a Soyuncu across my 5 teams .... but no team has more than one of them.
Still, at least I don't have Ndidi (2) or Albrighton and Gray (1 point each)
Vardy & Perez 17
Tielemans 10

Even at this early stage of the season, I reckon that's the sort of game that some people will look back on when they think "How did I win my Superleague". Sadly I won't be one of them - I'll file it under, "how I got my team back to mid-table mediocrity" at best!

Yep - I can see the Manager of the Week table already - lots of teams called 'Leic1' on 100 points or moreCanaryfan wrote: ↑25 Oct 2019, 22:41 Even at this early stage of the season, I reckon that's the sort of game that some people will look back on when they think "How did I win my Superleague".
