TFF chit chat 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th April
FRIDAY 12TH APRIL
Leicester 20:00 Newcastle
The Friday Night Fixture sees Newcastle travelling to the King Power to take on Leicester. Leicester are in good form with Tielemans and Vardy the pick of the bunch. Newcastle are safe and I guess that's all that matters. Neither team has extra games in the pipeline.
SATURDAY 13TH APRIL
Tottenham 12:30 Huddersfield
Saturday’s early match features a Kane-less Spurs welcoming relegated Uddersfield to White Hart Lane. This match should be a bit of a gimme for Tottenham, even with Kane missing. Uddersfield’s aim is to finish above Fulham so they do have a reason to stay competitive.
Brighton 15:00 Bournemouth
The first of the 3 o'clocks is a South Coast derby between Brighton and Bournemouth. Brighton have a gazillion games to play before the end of the season but are out of the Cup now. Bournemouth are on the beach both geographically and due to being somewhere in mid-table.
Burnley 15:00 Cardiff
Up next, a relegation clash between Burnley and Cardiff. Having looked at the table I think Burnley will be safe and Cardiff are all but down. Not sure if you have/want any players from these two teams though there is a extra game for Cardiff on Tuesday.
Fulham 15:00 Everton
Everton are the visitors to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham. Everton are another of the form teams and Fulham have already been relegated so expect an away win here. The Toffees are down to their final 5 games and will be looking to finish as high as possible.
Southampton 15:00 Wolves
The last of the 3pm matches features Southampton against Wolves. Southampton are another team who are probably safe from the drop. Wolves suffered a late defeat in the FA Cup last weekend, today we will see how they will react. Both sides play twice next week.
Man Utd 17:30 West Ham
Saturday's late game is Manchester United v West Ham United. United lost against Barcelona in midweek but luckily West Ham are nothing like Barcelona. Ole’s performances since he got the job haven't been great so will be hoping for better here. West Ham are going through the motions.
SUNDAY 14TH APRIL
Crystal Palace 14:05 Man City
The first of Sunday's two matches has Manchester City travelling to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace. Roy's Boys have had their fair share of penalties recently and this may be their best way past City. City lost in Europe so will want to bounce back today and keep the pressure on Liverpool.
Liverpool 16:30 Chelsea
Sunday's late game is a top of the table clash featuring Liverpool against Chelsea. Both teams were victorious in the Champions League so morale should not be an issue for either side. Firmino has hit form at the right time of the season and Hazard played well against the Hammers and was rested in midweek.
MONDAY 15TH APRIL
Watford 20:00 Arsenal
The final game of this game week is a clash between Watford and Arsenal. Watford are in the FA Cup Final after a battling performance last weekend and have quietly improved throughout the season. Arsenal have been winning a few recently but frequently conceded away from home. Score draw?
TUESDAY 16TH APRIL
Brighton 19:45 Cardiff
Just tacking Brighton's game in hand onto the end of this write up. This game also features the Welsh Wizards from Wales, Cardiff. This is a lower end of the table clash so could be high on passion but low on quality.

TFF chit chat
Thanks for write-ups, MB. Good stuff, as usual: not 'going through the motions', unlike some, reportedly.
Next season, perhaps, heaven forbid. Chelsea and (some of their disgraceful) followers are taking the low route round Europa League this year.featuring Liverpool against Chelsea. Both teams were victorious in the Champions League

Me and many others will be saying:
High = 2
Low = 0
Best team = 0
(that's points scored not transfers remaining)

Now is an opportunity to learn who has Maddison and or Vardy in your leagues.

I have Maddison. He has been decent but Leicester’s games are tough and I can get more games elsewhere. I have 3.3m. Duffy and knockaert are the obvious options but Brighton are poor.
Brooks, Pereyra and Redmond are other options. Southamptons games are decent and they will be fighting for there lives. What do you reckon?

If you think all options are fairly poor why not save the transfer to rotate strikers who might score highly?cnkp21 wrote:I have Maddison. Best Kane replacement - currently between Son and Aguero.tough call - Aguero better ppg but more prone to rotation with city's busy fixture schedule.

City’s next few aren’t “easy” so factoring in that with his “injury” and possible rotation leans me in favour of my Son.jobmeister wrote:Best Kane replacement - currently between Son and Aguero.tough call - Aguero better ppg but more prone to rotation with city's busy fixture schedule.

Your probs right Murf but it’s about who to bring out and when. My team is pretty settled and I have gone from 48 points behind the leader in my league to 1 in two weeks so I may be best holding tight on 9 transfers. I’m just trying to keep the momentum and I think Maddison’s points may be limited from now on.murf wrote: ↑13 Apr 2019, 07:56If you think all options are fairly poor why not save the transfer to rotate strikers who might score highly?cnkp21 wrote:I have Maddison. I am wondering if Son is as much of a rotation risk this weekend as Aguero, for the same reason. There is always Llorente as back up of course.....jobmeister wrote: ↑13 Apr 2019, 08:47 Thanks was swaying towards Son as long as he starts the early kick off.

Spurs are fighting for top 4 they’ll be playing strongest possible sides even allowing for the CL 2nd leg shirley.Jamjack wrote:I am wondering if Son is as much of a rotation risk this weekend as Aguero, for the same reason. Kane to Son is the obvious choice to me. He could score 12 - 15 today and then carry that form through the rest of the season with no-one challenging for his place. Plus you get an extra 1.1m to play with. If Son starts against Huddersfield today then you can be sure he will start the next few until Spurs are safe of their top 4 place. If he doesn't start today, then ignore everything I just said. lol

At least with Son you get to see the team sheet, go for Aguero instead and you can't do anything about it if he is AWOL (Jesus?)

When you have Kane and Jesus, Kane has to go for somebody other than Aguero.
I guess that won't be Son now though, lol.

Very surprised Son isn't playing tbh. I think Spurs may regret that. Not sure what to do with Kane now.

In 14 of last 16 games Spurs haven’t scored in first half. Not very inspiring stats!
