Re: TFF chit chat 22nd, 23rd and 24th February
Even if Mendys back he could easily break down again. If Danilo was to move to the middle it's cements Walker at right back. Prior to a few weeks ago clan sheets were hard to come by at Man C. With a make shift defence maybe they should be avoided.
Wolves - have got some tricky fixtures on the horizon - Boly, Bennett
Liverpool - pretty good at 0.0s and Ok games to come, risky if already got Allison and Robertson - VDV, TAA
Chelsea - very nice games after Spuds and a game in hand - Alonso, Luiz
Brighton - Good fixtures, still in cup but not playing well - Duffy
Palace - Good fixtures, playing well, still in the cup - PVA, Schlupp
Think I may have answered my question!

City were pretty leaky last time Fernandinho was absent. I'll be heading back to TAA if selected on Wednesday.

Good point, they have got good fixtures though. Not going for Walker would leave me without any City defence coverage in a few teams but then that could be a handy differential to climb a few spaces.

Think where I've got Ederson/Walker I'm going to leave it at that for Man C coverage. Elsewhere I may think outside the box.

Deliberately leaving out one solid option???buttonphobic wrote:Even if Mendys back he could easily break down again. If Danilo was to move to the middle it's cements Walker at right back. Is there much to be made from mid week changes, unless injured? No real extra games or daisy chains I can see yet, sit tight and hide behind the sofa I think

This is a Laporte replacement discussion...isn't it?

It's become one yes. Murf prey tell who was deliberately missed.... Don't think you mean Man U defs - bit risky with no Matic. Spurs not good fixtures and a blank, Leicester manager less!Newcastle?

I did mean Man U. Form team and playing defensively under Ole despite rumours to the contrary.buttonphobic wrote:It's become one yes. Murf prey tell who was deliberately missed.... Schlupp has been under the radar because he has been in and out of the team. Barely been in my Palace block team even!

Yes, the United way seems to be playing two holding midfielders and hitting teams on the break...
...like Leicester.
Shaw is definitely on my radar.

I have a Laporte (and potentially a Jota) to swap out and in looking at the options available, which really need to be season long given my transfer count, I’m thinking meh...
If TTA is back I think that’s the only solid choice for me but even then I am perhaps stretching the definition of solid (given recent injury record).

I definitely got a sense that the Liverpool players have taken a back step whether Klopp likes it or not. Keep it tight until the end of the season and rely on the forwards to nick it 1-0. Can't see them conceding many, especially with decent fixtures.

No. He just seems to have turned sh@t again. I gambled on him for the extra Wolves games and he has delivered 3 points from the 3 games. Given the other injuries I have, I could do with changing plan and holding him in the hope he improves but I have this strange feeling of deja vu.hancockjr wrote: ↑26 Feb 2019, 09:18Is Jota injured?Jamjack wrote: ↑26 Feb 2019, 08:43 I have a Laporte (and potentially a Jota) to swap out and in looking at the options available, which really need to be season long given my transfer count, I’m thinking meh...

Probably the best "New Del Horno" we've had in a while.
PS the answer is no, or at least it was half an hour ago. Things change...
