TFF chit chat 9th, 10th and 11th February
SATURDAY 9TH FEBRUARY
Fulham 12:30 Man Utd
Saturday's early fixture features a Fulham side trapped inside the relegation zone facing a reinvigorated Manchester United side who haven't lost this year. Fulham will be looking towards Mitrovic to shoot them out of this situation. OGS reintroduced Sanchez and Bailly last time out with Martial and Jones benched.
Crystal Palace 15:00 West Ham
London, it's the place to be if you want to see a London derby! Crystal Palace welcome West Ham United to Selhurst Park for the first of the 3pm kick offs. Palace beat Fulham in a London derby last weekend but the Hammers lie half-a-dozen points above them in the table so will pose tougher opposition.
Huddersfield 15:00 Arsenal
To Uddersfield next where Arsenal are the visitors. The Terriers were thoroughly drubbed last weekend by Chelsea and are likely to suffer a similar fate today. Arsenal are bottom of the top 6 so would welcome a convincing win here. Will Mkhitaryan or Ozil feature? Aubameyang flagged as possibly ill.
Liverpool 15:00 Bournemouth
Liverpool have allowed Man City to leapfrog them at the top of the table due to a couple of recent uncharacteristic score draws, Mane has hit form though. Bournemouth are this week's visitors to Anfield, the Cherries recently beat Chelsea but lost to Cardiff so who knows what will happen.
Southampton 15:00 Cardiff
Away to the South Coast now where the Welsh Wizards from Wales are the visitors to St. Mary's. Southampton sit precariously close to the drop zone so a win is essential today else Cardiff could climb above them. Where have the Bluebirds been hiding Bobby Reid all season?
Watford 15:00 Everton
It's Everton's turn to try out the Watford rollercoaster this weekend. The Hornets are in a very respectable 8th place, directly above Everton. The Toffees played in midweek and rested some of their bigger names in Sigurdsson and Richarlison - will they be back in the first 11 today?
Brighton 17:30 Burnley
Saturday's late fixture sees a B derby - Brighton against Burnley. Brighton needed extra time in midweek to get past WBA in the Cup with Murray scoring a brace off the bench. Burnley have been steadily nudging away from the bottom three but are still in trouble. How will Crouchy fit into the dressing room?
SUNDAY 10TH FEBRUARY
Tottenham 13:30 Leicester
Sunday's early game is Spurs against Leicester at Wembley Stadium. Tottenham will be glad that Son returned back in the same form as he left in because they still have no Kane. Leicester are the proverbial mid-table club and I don't remember Vardy scoring for a while.
Man City 16:00 Chelsea
The weekend's big match is also Sunday's late fixture. Table topping (at time of writing) Manchester City welcome Chelsea to the Etihad. City had a victory in midweek and have the potential pointsfest of Newport County
next weekend. Chelsea had a good win last weekend with Higuain finally getting on the scoresheet.
MONDAY 11TH FEBRUARY
Wolves 20:00 Newcastle
And finally, the Monday night fixture features high flying Wolverhampton Wanderers against Newcastle. Wolves are doing exceptionally well, have a 3-0 over a few teams now and Doherty is heading towards being a must-have. Jimenez also deserves a mention. Newcastle are sat just above the bottom three but have had a tough run this year so far.

With Champions League midweek, I wonder if Jesus gets this weekend AND Newport! Might be worth the gamble I'd he starts Sunday.
And then you might be able to replace him with Kane in a couple of weeks, lol.

Late this year, well into April, we don't even get Pancake Day til March (all due to christians stealing Easter from a lunar based Pagan festival that also had nothing to do with bunnies and chocolate eggs).

Bring back Jose. I preferred it when United players couldn't be arsed to perform for their club/shirt/fans.

Georginio Wijnaldum returns as Liverpool make one change for this afternoon’s Premier League clash with AFC Bournemouth at Anfield.
The Netherlands midfielder replaces Adam Lallana in the Reds’ starting XI in the only alteration to the team deployed at West Ham United on Monday night.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson return on the bench following injuries, but Xherdan Shaqiri misses out due to a slight abdominal strain.
Liverpool: Alisson, Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
Subs: Mignolet, Henderson, Sturridge, Lallana, Origi, Camacho, Alexander-Arnold.

....The bishops decided that Easter Day (also called Easter Sunday, the anniversary of Christ's resurrection) would fall on the first Sunday following the paschal full moon. That means the next full moon after the spring equinox.blahblah wrote: ↑09 Feb 2019, 14:27I thought it was Equinox related and plants starting to grow again ie the Mother Earth rebirth kinda thing.
