Well...what are we thinking tonight? I wouldn’t be surprised by a goal fest, just as much as I wouldn’t be surprised by a cancel each other out nil, nil.

I hold the template players (Robo, Salah) and annoyingly some City defenders but I’ve cleared the decks of City midfield stock. On balance, I’m not moved to bringing them back for this. Is that safe?

What happens to City’s priorities if they lose tonight  ? It feels like a very significant game from the perspective of fantasy football strategy for the rest of the season.

Agree with all that jamjack. I think it's a wait and see how it all settles for me as well. I've one City def left which I could swap tonight but seems a pointless move for now. And no desire to bring any midf back yet, though Hazard to Sterling is tempting me for some reason but I think just annoyed by the lack of points last night. Watch this bite us in the @rse later.

I've no longer got Salah in my best team, moved him out to get Hazard in. But panicking now at being Salahless, let alone Man City midfield less!
Spent last few weeks getting Kane, Pog and Haz in. Now contemplating which one of those three to lose for Salah.Crazy game this one.
Wondering which of those three least likely to get a cup run out this weekend?

Impossible question to answer imo. You could argue all or none. And another reason to remember it's just a single game but as jamjack alluded to, feels like so much more.

Time to safk I think for me.

I tried that tactic last season having started with Salah. Home to City was the game(4-3) cost me 10 points and when I did again for the last 2 games again I lost something like 15 points. This season he stays all season. Hazard always messes me up and Pogba is so unpredictable. Tough call.

With all the money they’ve spent whilst cheating FFP, why do City only have one left back at the club?

.... all of them have risen significantly and a City win tomorrow would make it a great week .... but that game could be 5-0 either way and (obviously) anything in-between. I shall be watching live .... at 6 a.m. .... I can't tell you how much less-exciting watching a top game is with your tea & toast rather than a beer :| It's just wrong
Enjoy the game Bren, just having a few pre match pints and a mixed grill .May we get a favourable outcome for city and tff points wise .

.... so far, so good, but you can't be overly confident against this Liverpool team

Not as wrong as having christmas in the middle of summer. I got burnt sunbathing on christmas day one year, santa came out of a boat and walked across the beach to some house behind. Just wrong, wrong, wrong. And the christmas cards still had snowmen on them. Everything upside down, not just the map.
Haha yes, the Christmas card thing always amuses me

Yes, definitely. Home to Wolves in their next meaningful fixture which is the last one that weekend (Monday 14th). Time to bring one or two back.

It could only work out better if Hazard or Pogba appear on the team sheets for the FA Cup. Doubt I could be that lucky though.

I see that Laporte was subbed due to injury - did it look a bad one? Clearly I hope he's fine on a humanitarian level, but if he could be confirmed out for a month or so that would be great!

Scores are up ....

hIgh 67 - moved up 4k places to 8.5k-ish

low 52 - still moved up around 1k places to around16k

best 61 - went from 4,047th to 2,791st

Remain top 50, despite score of 38.
But most importantly, no transfers used in the last three rounds of games.

My best team dropped out of the top 1k. Liverpool conceding didn't help and the only KC my 5 man midfield got was against my Liverpool defenders.

3 teams in mid 50s did ok.

High 55
Low/best team 33
7 teams all in - 55.54.54.49.45.37.33

Nightmare night for me.....panicked in the end and brought in Salah and in order to keep Pog, Hazard and Kane used two transfers! If all my players turn out for the weekend but not the two I transferred out, I'll be laughing........and then I'll wake up and realise it was all a dream!

5 live saying Pogba injured, as a result of Shelvey. Sounds like he won’t be playing in Cup. Hope that’s wrong though.

Can't see Pogba being risked now.

Lukaku and Sanchez are starting though. Will either be worth a punt with the expectation that they keep their place?

I wouldn’t worry too much. Ole said it’s a “knock” and he “may not be ready for this one”. Unless you have transfers to burn in this round of the cup, I always prepare myself for each team sheet announcement being a big punch in the face!
