TFF chit chat 4th and 5th December
TUESDAY 4TH DECEMBER
Bournemouth 19:45 Huddersfield
The first of the Tuesday night kick-offs sees Uddersfield travelling to the South Coast to take on Bournemouth. Both teams lost at the weekend with Uddersfield’s Mounie being sent for an early bath. Wilson scored again for the Cherries.
Brighton 19:45 Crystal Palace
The next match is apparently some kind of derby but it's always puzzled me why. Anyhow, Crystal Palace are another visitor to the South Coast, off to the Am Ex to play the Seagulls. Murray was rested at the weekend but Brighton still won. Palace also won without their talisman scoring.
West Ham 19:45 Cardiff
The last of the 7:45s has resurgent Cardiff taking a trip to East London to play the Hammers. Cardiff got a much needed win at the weekend but West Ham were majestic in their demolition of Newcastle so could be a tough match for the Bluebirds.
Watford 20:00 Man City
The sole 8 o'clock kick-off has matched the rollercoaster that is Watford against the Juggernaut that is Manchester City. Sergio Aguero wasn't fit at the weekend and I imagine it will be touch and go today. Watford haven't settled upon their best strike force yet and have Capoue suspended.
WEDNESDAY 5TH DECEMBER
Burnley 19:45 Liverpool
At the stadium formerly known as Fortress Turf Moor, the victors in the Merseyside derby are the visitors. It's a real top v bottom clash where you'd expect Liverpool to win but remember that football is a funny old game.
Everton 19:45 Newcastle
At Goodison, Newcastle are the visitors. Both of these teams lost at the weekend and will be hoping to get back to winning ways here. Everton mints are black and white striped so how come they are called the Toffees and play in blue?
Fulham 19:45 Leicester
There's something about matches when one of the teams involved was previously managed by the manager of the other team. Fulham, now managed by the Tinkerman, against Leicester falls into this category. Fulham might be rock bottom but they will be hoping that there's some new manager bounce left in the tank.
Wolves 19:45 Chelsea
Wolves are the best placed of the newly promoted teams and it's games like this that will illustrate how good they are as tonight's visitors are third placed Chelsea. Hazard continues to pick up fantasy football points and there are a few cheapies in the Wolves squad (just avoid the defence).
Man Utd 20:00 Arsenal
The first of the 8 o'clock matches is probably the pick of the games featuring a rampant Arsenal versus a Manchester United team who have been cut adrift from the top 5 and are battling to be top of the best of the rest. No Sanchez versus his old team here. Aubameyang in fine form.
Tottenham 20:00 Southampton
And finally, managerless Southampton travel to Wembley to take on Spurs. Often a team with no manager plays better than one managed by Mark Hughes, so lets see how the Saints get on today. Spurs will still be reeling from Sunday's defeat in the North London derby but Harry can still blow the doors off from 12 yards out.

Nice one as always Mr B.
I have a question for all you clever TFF types.
Can anybody tell me why no matter how many points Callum Wilson gets and whatever his fixtures are he never features in any of my teams?
Am I doomed.

Same here Spiny.
I have him in my Sky teams and FPL team but haven’t had him in any of my TFF teams all season and can’t explain why.

Kane or Aubameyang tomorrow to replace Aguero if he's still crocked. Which one?

It's just the other 'questionable selections' that are letting him down

If you could go back in time to Sunday, I’d say Aubameyang. If time travel is not in your gift I’d say Kane’s fixtures look very appealing and difficult to ignore (if Harry can get back to what he does best). A Spurs “reaction” against Southampton must be a reasonable possiblity.
I brought in a lot of Kane’s on Sunday....

It was Kane for me but looking jealously at Aubameyang and may even stick him in as well to replace my Hazard back to Aguero (before further injury news) via a Lvpl player master plan (don't ask).

All of my plans at the weekend revolved around bringing in Laporte and Sterling. At least it involved selling Aguero.Spinynorman wrote:No Sterling scuppers all of my plans for tonight.

It is rotation time. Alonso and Robertson will be next. I have made 4 transfers recently. Only injured or seriously poor players should be removed.

I can't see anyone worth transferring tonight. Tomorrow will be itchy finger time and deliberating over Aguero to Kane or Aubameyang or neither.

He'll probably get ten minutes at the end and score the third or fourth goal.

I slipped him in a couple and Sane in a couple. I agree it’s bizarre as afcb score well.Spinynorman wrote:Nice one as always Mr B.

Jurgen mentioned a slight injury for Robertson (and Mane) so you could be at least half right tomorrow.Sieben wrote:It is rotation time. Alonso and Robertson will be next. I have made 4 transfers recently. Only injured or seriously poor players should be removed.

Re: TFF chit chat 4th and 5th December
Possible Liverpool tweaks tonight:
Mane and Robertson will be closely monitored before the manager chooses his XI, however, after suffering a cut to the foot and dead leg respectively against Everton.
“Sadio really had an awful cut on his foot. It needed to be stitched,” Klopp explained at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
“He is OK but walking around here now in flip-flops and you don’t play in flip-flops! That means in this moment he is not ready, but we will see later. With Robbo it is not that serious as with Sadio, but we need to have a look.”
