Fair point. I think I heard that it looked like he’d be back after the break. Not sure where I heard that though.
He’s gone if he doesn’t start.

Think I'm now going Mendy to Gomez. This allows Maddison to Richarlison. I think Richarlison will score more points than Anderson.

Gomez for me also I think. Means I can get Kane back in with just one sub if/when he comes good.

I’m in a position to upgrade Mendy to a striker. I’m torn between Wilson (form) and Arnautovic (fixtures).

Nice to see a thread I started 2 months ago pop up again. Like a lot of people on here I had Mendy, got rid, brought back and now need to get rid again. Very annoying!

Just in case anyone was considering keeping him, the timescale has been 'officially' pushed out to 10-12 weeks.

Can afford any defender to replace him. Might just be boring and go for Laporte or Walker. Or is it a good time to get a cheapo defender in for a Wolves or Brighton for example?
Current defence is Ederson, Robertson, Alonso, Mendy.

Depends on your feelings regarding needing double City defensive coverage. Where I haven't got Ederson then Laporte or Walker are obvious picks, with Ederson the shortlist becomes longer.

Don't necessarily feel like I need double City coverage, but do feel Laporte represents good value for a City defender at 3.7. Or Gomez for 3.3? Good value aswell.

Decent defenders seem to be scoring well so I have 3 + a cheapie in my non-block teams. Switching Mendy to a cheapie when playing 3 at the back minimises the advantages to be had in a season when top defenders are proving good VFM.
