TFF chit chat 25th, 26th and 27th August
SATURDAY 25TH AUGUST
Wolves 12:30 Man City
Saturday's early fixture sees Champions Manchester City taking on Wolves at Molineux. Are there any other Premier League grounds who's name contain a x? Guess Aguero is now firmly on everyone’s must-have list after last week's showing. How long will you persevere with your Wolves cheapies?
Arsenal 15:00 West Ham
The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in - It must be a London derby! There are three London teams in the bottom four and this fixture features two of them. Arsenal have got off to a terrible start but will be hoping to put some points on the board today. West Ham talisman Arnautovic score last week but it still wasn’t enough to beat Bournemouth.
Bournemouth 15:00 Everton
And speaking of Bournemouth... This week the Cherries welcome the Toffees to the Vitality. It's all very food related. There was more Dad's Army shenanigans last weekend with a Fraser KC and a Wilson goal. Everton have invested wisely by bringing in Richarlison who is in the top 3 of best midfielders at the moment.
Huddersfield 15:00 Cardiff
Bottom of the table Huddersfield welcome newly promoted Cardiff to the Kirklees. The Terriers haven't got off to a very good start but this match should be a bit more evenly matched. Cardiff have keeper Neil Etheridge to thank for saving two penalties in as many games.
Southampton 15:00 Leicester
Leicester will be without the suspended Jamie Richard Vardy for their visit to deepest, darkest Hampshire. New signing Maddison looks a bit useful though. Southampton are currently comfortable in mid-table on one point with Danny Ings scoring last weekend for his new old club.
Liverpool 17:30 Brighton
Saturday's late fixture features Liverpool welcoming the Seagulls to take a ferry across the Mersey to Anfield. Mane is top dog at the moment whilst Salah looks a bit wobbly on his feet. Brighton pulled off the shock result of last weekend by beating Man Utd - can they do similar again today?
SUNDAY 26TH AUGUST
Watford 13:30 Crystal Palace
Sunday starts with an early game featuring Crystal Palace taking the M25 around to Watford. There was a red card in Palace's last game meaning Wan Bissaka will be on the naughty step today. Watford are one of a handful of teams who remain unbeaten after two matches - Europe here they come!
Fulham 16:00 Burnley
The first of the 4 o'clocks has jetsetters Burnley travelling to Craven Cottage. Hopefully the exertion of the Europa League will not take it's toll on Burnley this season. Hart was dropped for the midweek match. Fulham haven't managed a goal yet this season and the Dyche defence is usually fairly tight so don't expect a goalfest today.
Newcastle 16:00 Chelsea
The second of the 4 o'clocks sees Chelsea taking on Newcastle. Chelsea are undefeated this season and should be confident of continuing their winning streak here. Pedro is banging them in for fun right now. Kenedy didn't have a good game last weekend, missing a penalty and failing to complete a first half pass.
MONDAY 27TH AUGUST
Man Utd 20:00 Tottenham
The Monday night fixture sees Tottenham Hotspur visiting the Theatre of Lucky Clover to take on Manchester United. The Red Devils could be like a wounded animal and might look to attack Spurs from the outset - probably not though knowing Mourinho. Harry blew up his August duck last weekend.

What have you do with Spiny's AA Road Atlas?
Sending poor Brighton (and slightly richer Hove) to Anfield via Birkenhead....
PS Under Jose is it the Theatre of B*ll*x?

Road atlas? It's all sat navs these days and they're prone to sending you on a convoluted route!

What to do with Jota.Be patient and give him 5/6 games but worryingly subbed at half time last game.Could bring in Richarlson but that would require another player to be downgraded so effectively 2 transfers used.Watch him today but man city not the best team to measure him. What are others doing with Jota ?

Wouldn’t use 2 transfers. Maddison an option maybe.

Was considering Maddison , but with Vardy missing a slight worry.Agree Maddison has looked quality both games.Time to consider options after wolves v city game .Troopon wrote:Wouldn’t use 2 transfers. Maddison an option maybe.

I replaced KDB with Mane, so now have sufficient funds to upgrade Jota to Richarlison. However, I could keep the funds so that I could go from Mane to Hazard if Chelsea continue their free scoring start especially when Hazard starts regularly. Hmmmm.

I'm going for Maddison, even with Vardy missing it saves cash and will be long term barring any problems.jobmeister wrote: ↑25 Aug 2018, 12:06Was considering Maddison , but with Vardy missing a slight worry.Agree Maddison has looked quality both games.Time to consider options after wolves v city game .Troopon wrote:Wouldn’t use 2 transfers. Though Pereyra at Watford an option also but not sure about that myself.

It looks like it was the Number 2 (Doherty) who got the possible glancing header before it came to Boly

Would VAR have disallowed that Wolves goal? It looked accidental.

Mahrez and Jota can be Aubameyang and Maddison.
Or could do Mahrez to Hazard tomorrow (if starts).
Both mean Kane is a no go for a while.
Edit- Maybe Mahrez to Mkhitarian which allows Mane to Kane if I need would be better. Feel Jota will come good eventually.

Would expect Wolves to get a lot of confidence from that result and kick on now.

Could Iwobi be an alternative to Jota? Expecting Ramsey to come in and score well today in Ozil's absence. One to monitor.

Considering Sane to Iwobi, frees up some funds as an added bonus of getting rid of a guy that’s not starting and was awful when he did come on today

Is Iwobi going to be a regular starter though?
