Re: Elite Leagues
I entered one team last year. Won both league and cup with a team that finished in the top 500 (I think - failing memory).
Found it much harder this year. Entered more and am still hoping for a profit from the cups. You still in the cup as well?
The leagues all seem to have a smattering of FISO members in them.

The quickest way was to have the money paid into my Coral account....so I did. I think it was there the day after my request.

6th and 7th for my two teams, picked the wrong ones!
These elite leagues are worth entering tbough and profit to be made if you try hard enough.

Re: Elite Leagues
As a single entrant a bit of a challenge as unable to throw transfers at it but equal 1st (£10 league) with 3rd c30pts back. Still in the cup too.
Dunx - won league last year and got an email and just sent bank details as no coral account. A couple of weeks before they got in touch but once they had very efficient.

Wow nice profit, how do you avoid your teams being placed in the same leagues?Yorkshire Exile wrote: ↑16 Apr 2018, 19:53 Made about 2k out of these last year. .... This year looking to cover costs.... Had a shocker
Hope that's not a daft question.

you cant enter more than 1 league for a given value at any time - until it fills then you queue for the next one to fill.

I'm not...but I do look in occasionally. I was following your chase this year but I note that you haven't updated it. I can understand that you may not wish to let anyone know your current transfer position if, like me, you are looking to break even.

The frustrating ones for me are those where the lead score is not great but I have let them get away.

Re: Elite Leagues
I've just entered 1 x £20 league and I'm 2nd about 60 points off the lead.
I'm in the semis of the cup but it looks like the person I'm facing gave up on the league early and saved his transfers for the cup so I've got little chance.
I'm sure it would be profitable to mass enter given about half the people who enter these things and don't commit to them, can't really be arsed when I can have the instant gratification of playing on DraftKIngs available.

Re: Elite Leagues
Anyone play enough of these to give me an idea of the typical overall position needed to lead or win one of these???
Always thought there would be too many half decent players to make it easy money.

Re: Elite Leagues
My £20 league
1st 1901 2nd - 6th range from 1800 - 1850
There's probably 6 or 7 that don't seem to be serious players based on their scores.
The problem is that it's very difficult to win the league and the cup because people can stock transfers for the latter, so you're looking at getting 9 times your money for winning the league or 5 times for winning the cup.

One £5 league. Leader on 1951. I'm 3rd in that league too far off to catch the leader and currently in the semifinal of the cup.

I am in a £5 league which is not very competitive. I am leading on 1928 and likely to qualify for cup final. The second is on 1865 and from third they are below 1800

I usually enter the £5, £10 and £20 elite leagues. I’ve been mediocre in the league but as of tonight finally reached the cup final of my £20 league

Re: Elite Leagues
Claims can now be made.
From 7 leagues involving 6 separate teams I have only one prize of £100 to collect for a £20 Cup win. A profit overall of a fiver. And some fun along the way.
It is a bit pot luck really. I had the bloke who finished 5th in the Free Managers League and 84th overall in two of the leagues I was in. He won both of the leagues but I did have the pleasure of knocking him out in the semi final of one of the cup competitions - the one I won.
Jobmeister won two other leagues I was in with what may have been his best team.
I think I will have another go next season but try to get a better start!

Re: Elite Leagues
I couldn't remember if it was just the winner that got a prize as I have two seconds and two thirds but it looks like I only win with my one team that came top of a ten pound league.
I got beat in a cup final as well.
I had high hopes.

Re: Elite Leagues
Got my Email today asking how I wanted my winnings to be paid, won my £20 Elite league by just 20 points in the end.
This team also came top and 2nd in two private leagues so an overall profit of about £500,very happy with that, thanks to all on here that contributed to topics that helped me in making some key decisions and congratulations to all that won prizes. Not doing a world cup team this year as I want to just sit back and enjoy the football.
See you all in just a few weeks when we do it all again.

Last year it was a couple of weeks, I think they wait for everyone or most to claim rather than run multiple payments.
