Resting for what? Citeh don't care about the WC. Subconsciously the players won't be fully up for it but will also be playing stress free.
Ok, rotating players then.

What an underwhelming day.

Regarding City, who knows? There are no more rules about players being involved in at least 10 matches to qualify for a winners medal so that's not a factor anymore. Some players needing to prove fitness for World Cup selection? Mendy would be one.

According to a report from the Mirror, the FA are reviewing Marcos Alonso’s late challenge on Shane Long from Chelsea’s win over Southampton at the weekend.

I haven't seen it myself but there seems to be a great weight of opinion saying that he may well get done for it.

One of those that gets worse the more you see it. Got rid of all my Alonsos yesterday.

Every time I watch that I just find myself wondering what on earth he was doing. It's so far away from the ball it doesn't even look like football. I suspect he will be banned, but have held on in case he somehow escapes..

Apparently Dean didn’t have a good view. He was too close.

So England reject Peter Crouch scores then England reject Andy Carroll equalises. Meanwhile England reject Joe Hart after he starts it all off.

Bonnie Tyler's DVD just got longer.

Worst thing is Alonso was key in all three of Chelsea's goals. Bad luck.

So Dean has to have said he didn’t see it. Suggest these for next match.
