Just returned from sledging with the kids. I looked at LiveScore then looked at this thread and I have to say I have no idea what has gone on in this game. I have Son in a few teams but not in my best. No idea how many points he has or hasn’t gained tonight!

But the VAR decision was incompetent in the first place. The initial foul was outside the box and THAT is where the free kick should have been given.

I am now more at peace with the World. Well done Son.

Take him off and give him a rest for the weekend.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the penalty.

The referee has got his white spray out at a free kick...as the snow lies/settles on the ground. What a cock he is.

Does that Son penalty count as a pen miss?

You could see the look on Son's face as he got subbed, he knows that he's getting transferred out and I'm never picking him again.

Thanks for the memories Sonny.

I would assume not as he didn't miss it.

I think there'll be some head-scratching at TFF towers. Perhaps no update tonight.

Looks like they are leaning toward penalty 'cancelled'

I've got Trippier and he got 5 points, How?! Don't remember him being involved in any of the goals. Not complaining but can't work it out.

1st goal was Trippier to Lamela to Son.

So he did yes. Cheers. Would have got another assist if the penalty had counted aswell. Son got me 17 points before departing my team so not too bad.

Last night 7pts saw me climb 72 places.
Tonight 0pts saw me drop 75 places.

Lets hope those 3 overtakers burned some transfers....

That's complete nonsense by TFF. Son took a penalty, broke the rules and consequently didn't score. That's not the cancellation of a penalty, that's a miss by any normal logic. I have Son in half my teams, but avoiding idiot rulings by TFF is more important for the fairness of the game.

Not sure that’s TFF fault Striker...don’t think FA will class it as a missed pen, but actually was cancellation of the pen?
Bizarre yes, but correctly applied in terms of scoring here imo

Lamela has been preferred to him in the last two full strength Spurs line-ups and I dare say Lucas Moura is ahead of him in the pecking order as well now.

Keep him v Huddersfield, probably comes on as sub and then change to a 100% starter like Mane or FIrminho, I'd imagine.

You're probably right about TFF not being at fault, but it's still a silly ruling by whoever.

Still the referee in my view. With all the problems that the game has now in terms of diving and other aspects of cheating and gamesmanship (which exist in all top level sport) he chooses to penalise an individual who consistently plays the game at 100% and with a smile on his face. Ignore the stupid handshakes. The guy is a pleasure to watch. And, I repeat, I have never seen this happen before regardless of what happens in the run up. I feel that the interpretation of the rules here was woefully inept.

IMHO

I'm pretty sure you have always been allowed to stagger your run up, but Son came to a complete halt, it was unsportsmanlike conduct, I thought the yellow was a touch harsh though.

Delighted to see I'm the only person in my league with Son (also partly explains my diminishing lead over the past few weeks!) Hopefully being subbed early even when on a hat trick (while Lamela played the full 90) suggests he'll start on Saturday before exiting for a Liverpool midfielder in the late game. It's almost a coherent plan from me for once!

+1 to the first bit. Staggers are ok (Aldo was the master) but Son stopped dead. Yellow only a tad harsh.
