TFF chit chat 30th and 31st January
TUESDAY 30TH JANUARY
Swansea 19:45 Arsenal
The first of the three Tuesday night fixtures sees the bottom of the table Welsh Wizards from Wales play host to the Gunners. Swansea have started to pick up a few points recently and Arsenal are blowing hot and cold so this match is a tricky one to call.
West Ham 19:45 Crystal Palace
Jellied eels! It's a London derby... Injury ravaged and FA Cup failures, West Ham, take on fellow Londoners, Crystal Palace, at the London Stadium. WH will be missing Carroll, Lanzini and Arnautovic. Palace are without Dan, Loftus, Cheek and Puncheon.
Huddersfield 20:00 Liverpool
Bezzie mates Wagner and Klopp come face-to-face in Tuesday's final match. Uddersfield drew in the Cup whereas Klippity's men were dumped out by WBA and also lost in their last Prem game versus Swansea so will be desperate to get a result here.
WEDNESDAY 31ST JANUARY
Chelsea 19:45 Bournemouth
Wednesday kicks off with Chelsea v Bournemouth. Will Morata be back for this one or will Conte continue to play Batshuayi up front after his weekend brace? Is Hazard finally coming into form? Bournemouth will be nicely rested after having no game at the weekend.
Everton 19:45 Leicester
At Goodison, the Foxes are the visitors. Everton were another team to be without an FA Cup game at the weekend. Leicester put out a second string team against the Posh but the standout player was Diabetes who has a sweet shot on him.
Newcastle 19:45 Burnley
Newcastle lost to Chelsea in the Cup but will be looking for a better result here, obviously. Burnley were already out so are another team with a nicely rested squad. Newcastle are slowly slipping down the table whereas Burnley are still at the right end of affairs.
Southampton 19:45 Brighton
It's a Coastal derby! Brighton rock up to St Mary's down in deepest darkest Hampshire off the back of a late1-0 win on Saturday with Glenn Murray on the score sheet (and potentially the rap sheet). Southampton also won and need to continue their winning ways here.
Man City 20:00 West Brom
After an insanely poor tackle on Leroy Sane on Sunday he is likely to be out for some time. Even without Sane, the City juggernaut keeps rolling and today the newly revitalised Baggies stand in their way. WBA will be buoyed by beating Liverpool in their last outing.
Stoke 20:00 Watford
The glamour tie of this set of fixtures sees the Rufty Pamby Pottery Boys up against Gracia's Hornets. Stoke were another side who went out in the 3rd round so had the weekend off. Watford can also now concentrate on the League after going out on Saturday.
Tottenham 20:00 Man Utd
And finally, Spurs v United. Two teams battling for a top 4 finish. Harry with his door blowing equipment. Alexis with his new pay packet. Two teams with plenty of fantasy football assets. Will Jose play A Bus-Driver at the back for this one? Will it be bus doors that Harry will need to blow off?

Re: TFF chit chat 30th and 31st January
It is a West Ham debut for Portugal international midfielder Joao Mario after joining the club on loan from Inter Milan last week.
He is one of four changes to their starting line-up from their last Premier League match - a 1-1 draw at home against Bournemouth.
Just the one change for Crystal Palace from the side that started the 4-1 loss to Arsenal as Andros Townsend comes in for Yohan Cabaye

Re: TFF chit chat 30th and 31st January
Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud starts on the bench despite being heavily linked with a move away from the club, along with new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Alexandre Lacazette leads the line for the Gunners, who are attempting to complete a deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Swansea stick with the same side that beat Liverpool 1-0 in their last Premier League outing.
(NB These 2 kick off at 7:45. Liverpool and Uddersfield on telly at 8. Single slightly overlapping flange starting at 7:45).

Had a tenner on Monreal first goal 25/1 felt pretty good considering the chances he got last game

Noble (Hernandez) - penalty after foul on Little Pea
No doubt there'll be Hammers fans calling for Noble to be in the England squad again.

Cech error by the sound of it - With Arsenal playing this badly, Sanchez gone and out of the FA Cup they're not a very attractive proposition right now (which is why I decided against Monreal earlier)

Was on them before but missed (his second?) and been off them since. Firmino missed at the weekend and I expected it to be Milner but...Jamjack wrote:Salah on pens? I didn’t know that.
Basically Liverpool keep rotating taker because they all keep missing (4 of 7 missed before tonight??)
