TFF chit chat 16th, 17th and 18th December
SATURDAY 16TH DECEMBER
Leicester 12:30 Crystal Palace
Saturday's early fixture is the wildlife derby, pitting the Foxes against the Eagles. In the real world you'd probably expect the eagles to win but here I'm not so sure. Leicester are on a very good winning run but Palace are unbeaten for a while too.
Arsenal 15:00 Newcastle
In to the 3 o'clocks where first up is Arsenal against Newcastle. Arsenal are down to 7th in the table and I'm not sure which of their players are worth having this season. Newcastle are the lowest of the promoted sides and only one point above the relegation zone.
Brighton 15:00 Burnley
I spy with my little eye something beginning with B. Brighton versus high flying Burnley. The injuries to Ward, Lowton and Mee are a bit of a worry as Burnley have been very defensive sound this season. Brighton are going through a rough patch of form at present.
Chelsea 15:00 Southampton
Chelsea are blowing hot and cold this season and just when you think it's worth getting Hazard or Morata they go and blank or get rested (or potentially suspended) Southampton are top of the pack of teams chasing 10th position. Austin anyone?
Stoke 15:00 West Ham
Sparky must be fearing for his job at the moment as the namby pamby pottery boys are currently in free fall. The only way is up for Moyes' boys who have picked up some good points in recent weeks. Arnautovic to score against his old team?
Watford 15:00 Huddersfield
Watford are not as good as they once thought they were and there are rumours that Richarlison might be injured. Doucoure has been quiet recently so is it time for new enablers please? Uddersfield are also dangerously close to the relegation zone though Mounie got a brace last weekend.
Man City 17:30 Tottenham
Dedication, that's what you need if you're going to be a record breaker - just ask Pep's City. Also ask him who he's going to play as I haven’t got a clue! Harry will be looking to blow a few doors off today though and (come on my) Son has been in form recently.
SUNDAY 17TH DECEMBER
West Brom 14:15 Man Utd
Sunday's early fixture sees the Baggies take on Jose's Giants. Utd are still in second place despite losing against their neighbours last weekend. Brom need to stop conceding and start winning soon else the Championship beckons.
Bournemouth 16:30 Liverpool
In deepest, darkest Dorset Klippity's men are the visitors. Klopp has caught a bad case of tinkeritis off of Pep so who knows who'll be fielded from the off today. Steady Eddie will be looking for a home win today given Liverpool's results against lesser teams.
MONDAY 18TH DECEMBER
Everton 20:00 Swansea
The MNF features the Welsh Wizards from Wales visiting the Toffees at Goodison. Big Sam is up to his old tricks again, somehow he has re-energised Wayne Rooney (5 goals in 4 matches, a differential perhaps?)

C'mon Aguero you managed to get out of the station, during the week. Now stick in 4 past Tottenham and really get this wagon, I jumped on, moving. Thank you.

While the prayer mats are out can I ask for a whopping Liverpool win and high scores for all my TFF players despite defeats for Man City, Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs (despite playing City who are also losing please).

If Morata comes back and SCORES, I'm going to throw ALL my toys out of my pram.
Unless Sanchez rips Newcastle to bits, because that's who I replaced him with.
C'mon Sanchez stick 4 past Newcastle and a few kcs, please, and Conte leave Morata on the bench. After all you don't want him missing the EFL quarter final, do you

I brought Mane in a few games ago as a bit of gamble which didn't work. I think Hazard will be the man required long term so I'm considering swapping the two today. My only concern is Mane scoring well tomorrow, although he could even be rotated.

Ward of Burnley is frustrating as he's missed a few clean sheets but probably isn't worth replacing with another Burnley bloke as their games seem to toughen up a bit over Christmas. Wish I had got rid straight away.

Or if staying with them a straight swap to Tarkowski maybe as saves cash?Spinynorman wrote: ↑16 Dec 2017, 09:54 Ward of Burnley is frustrating as he's missed a few clean sheets but probably isn't worth replacing with another Burnley bloke as their games seem to toughen up a bit over Christmas. I did Phil Jones where I could afford him. Tarkowski is my option elsewhere but the prognosis on Ward (who is scoring 'otter than Tarka) isn't as bad as feared so not sure if I will hold or jump even if he is absent from the squad.LenH wrote: ↑16 Dec 2017, 10:08Or if staying with them a straight swap to Tarkowski maybe as saves cash?Spinynorman wrote: ↑16 Dec 2017, 09:54 Ward of Burnley is frustrating as he's missed a few clean sheets but probably isn't worth replacing with another Burnley bloke as their games seem to toughen up a bit over Christmas. Don’t people worry Phil Jones is an injury waiting to happen, or won’t be bale to play twice a week regularly?

Yep, agreed. I may just hold at the moment, see what the next hour or so brings.murf wrote: ↑16 Dec 2017, 10:58I did Phil Jones where I could afford him. Only a couple of Morata’s left but in 352 formations and £50 budget spent. Sometimes* I really disappoint myself.Ayns wrote: ↑16 Dec 2017, 14:03Mortal benchedjohnmc wrote: ↑15 Dec 2017, 21:44If Morata comes back and SCORES, I'm going to throw ALL my toys out of my pram.

Maitland-Ward played pretty well by all accounts but it's not like they won the game.

I thought they missed him massively in the game (no criticism of right midfielder Naitland Miles, but they created nothing down there) yet he didn't even get on. Not sure why he was even on the bench. Now it's looking like an injury but again he's on bench so can't really be. Just odd really.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kolasinac has questioned Arsenal's ambition now that he realises that he dropped a bollock joining a club in terminal decline. Has been their best player this season. Arsene knows
