That makes it even nicer if he was fit for Palace for us holders.

No obvious beneficiary, however, among top five most selected.

Code: Select all

          Fri    Mon
Kane      62% -> 42%
Lukaku    61% -> 60%
Salah     49% -> 50%
de Bruyne 39% -> 42%
Alli      35% -> 34%
People must have transfers to burn

Think a lot did Kane to Jesus or Aguero. Jesus went from around 20% to 32% and only got a point.

They might have to bring back Kane in if he is fit for Palace.

It is ridiculous. It was a one game injury (we hope) in an early kick off so, in terms of transfers, it was completely irrelevant whether he was injured or not (unless you were buying Spurs or Man U and those stats suggest otherwise).

I note TFF had a poll on who to buy so the masses were spoonfed (wrongly)

Some blinkered thinking here, I suspect those taking Kane out will have a plan to bring him back and will have expanded Man City (possibly Hazard and Salah too) coverage as well as lining up removing some deadwood/upgrading when they bring Kane back in.

The calculated risk that could pay off as long has you have a plan to bring back Kane.

That's a wild generalisation. Just one of many possible examples - If one had Sanchez or Lacazette in one's team and was intending to take them out once they'd got their points against Swansea :oops: dropping Kane had potential. It was the end of a good mini run of fixtures for Arsenal. Personally I was intending to go from Lacazette to Sane in a few teams as soon as it made sense. So I went Kane to Sane. Next week I'll be doing Lacazette to Kane if he's in the starting line up. By itself the merit of the extra transfer doesn't quite justify its use, as one can't use all the pts Sane scored as a justification (the EV would only have been around 5 pts), but it's not hopeless. The real profit comes from other possibilities. Firstly if Kane doesn't start against Palace, it's fully justified. Secondly if he then retweaks his hamstring playing for England, you're quids in. Furthermore there's the benefit of the "spare" £1.1 million that selling Kane for Sane gave you a week early. IMO the latter added to the 5 pts from Sane justified the extra transfer. (The fact that Sane actually scored 10pts is irrelevant unless you're a hindsight expert).

As I mentioned much earlier on the thread the only gain from going via someone using Kane was the potential bonus game (or max two) from the deadwood you were shipping out (eg Lacazette in Striker's example) - was that worth an extra transfer?

....not that the majority of Kane out transfers will have been as thought out, most will have been just jumping on an alternative striker (stats show a lot were the non starting Aguero!) with no plan for Kane v Palace.

I'm in the leave Kane alone camp.
He misses one game it seems and despite his red hot form, that game was away to one of the best defences in the league. Take the pain this week and have 2 transfers for daisy chaining later in the season. No brainer for me.

Didn't need to reorganise any teams either, good example though Striker.

On a separate note, Big Sam linked with Everton today...

it probably depends whether you need to make up ground or not. If I was in the top 100 I'd stick and be more cautious. None of my teams are alas so I've got rid of all my Kane's, but with every team I've built in the contingency of transferring him back in next Sunday for an under performing/at risk of rotation Saturday player

Anyone able to tell me whether Newcastle are going to score tonight? Contemplating a Burnley defender now that they've played Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs away..

Ward more owned and marginally more attacking threat, but 0.2 more. In my case the 0.2 will be very handy, so it's Tarka, however if I had a bit more I'd prefer Ward..

Must say I've hardly seen Burnley play this season, does Ward get forward a lot from full back? Is Tarkowski a threat from set pieces? Shall I just flip a coin?

Palace next and he tends to get attacking points.

All Dawson's gone for Tarkowski and a a couple of Wards to allow future upgrades,most likely Davies to Sane.

Not watching but 1 shot on target each looks good for my (Burnley) clean sheet aspirations.
