The City sub(s)...

Post by LenH »

So after JamJacks timely thread and my threat to do a poll here it is. Like many others on here am trying to get some more City coverage and these the options I've come up with. KDB being preferred but Sterling considered also. Already have the holy one.

Option 1 - 1 sub
Straight swap Mkhitaryan to Sterling.
Will Sterling always start though but does it matter if he's scoring so well?

Option2 - 2 subs
Alonso & Mkhitaryan to Davies & KDB.
Gives me Spurs def coverage and of course gets me the preferred KDB back. But does Rose's imminent return affect Davies starts? No spare change if go this way. Extra game out of Alonso.

Option 3 - 2 subs
Alonso & Mkhitaryan to Jones & KDB.
Jones seems to be one of Jose's preferred PL starters and will play if fit. Again gives me KDB but also crucially allows me spare change to swap Aguero in if wanted in the next 6 weeks. Extra game out of Alonso.

Option 4 - 2 subs
Alonso & Mkhitaryan to Walker & Sterling
Thanks to JamJack! Additional City coverage and leaves me with more than enough to cover Aguero if wanted.

What do fiso heads think?

I'm not exactly helping you here but is a forth option of Walker and Sterling available to you within budget?

I'm looking to move Davies on at some point, as I presume Rose's return will take time off him..

Ooh, it is! Confusion reigns. I'll stick it in though.

I always feel like they are more likely to concede though with their more gunho approach.

Yeh, this worries me and also would be a blind transfer on Sat before they play Sunday.

Also I would be doubling up on ManU def with the Jones option which not necessarily a bad thing they have a harder run coming up.

Again not necessarily a bad thing given the shall we say "pragmatic" way mourinho sets up against the stronger teams..

Ahem - Rose is now back in contention. Probably won't start this w/e though.

Gone for Alonso and Miki to KDB and Jones. I just think that game time for Sterling, Davies and Sane will be reduced as Rose and Aguero return, whereas KDB and Jones are first choices.

Some talk in United world that Mkhitaryan wasn't with the squad that met up this afternoon for final preparations for tomorrow.

United world?

Is that a bunch of blokes in a pub in Salford?

Option 4 - assists, goals and clean sheets seems sensible

Believe it or not the M.E.N. have spotters at the team hotel each week counting players in and out. Cheap clickbait article.

I think many United fans are pretty pleased, hoping it means he'll finally go with Martial, Mata and Rashers behind Lukaku but silly old Jose will probably throw in a Young and/or Lingard.

Is Jones a definite start this weekend? Some sites indicate he may be on bench

I am the solitary vote so far for Mikki T to Sterling but only because I didn't look at your team options and I already have Kevin The Brown.

Jones on the bench for one game is hardly a disaster.

Excellent news. Woke up and after a slight sway towards Walker and Sterling I'm back to my original Jones and KDB. Doucore goal also making me feel slightly 'better' about Alonsos's removal though a parting gift would have been nice (you never know he might still score).

Just need some bad news for Mkhi (say, twisted ankle, 6 weeks out) and a clean bill of health for Jones (with medical records leaked) and I can get tinkering.....
