If TFF had an amnesty/wildcard
This was mentioned in the summer survey but thankfully not included in the game this season. But as an exercise to fill the international break, what team would you set-up if you were given an amnesty before the 14th October? Some rules: Teams must be within budget and TFF formations etc, you're just going to pick an 11 to set you off again through the season which will expire before first kick-off on the 14th. After the amnesty you'll be left with *plucks figure from air* 35 season long transfers. The current injury situations apply i.e. uncertainty over Aguero, Morata, Pogba etc so you'd be taking a risk if you use them.
My first draft was
Ederson
Jones B Davies Tarkowski
KDB Mane Salah Doucore
Kane Lukaku Jesus
There's spare cash there to upgrade KDB/Mane to Hazard if/when the latter gets going and if it's KDB making way, spare to rotate Kane and Lukaku to Aguero (or other premium strikers)...I think daisy chaining the strikers through the season rather than waiting for mid-winter 3 for 0s etc might be the way to go this season.

Not far off that XI but I'd swerve Ederson and Mane.
Also is SWard outscoring Tarkowski with KCs?

Ha, wildcard is not needed in this game.
Just realised that my teams are already not a million miles off what you have drafted and may just use a couple of transfers and 'sacrifice' one and merge it into that.
Although in a month or two this line up may look not as strong

There are three of those that I don't have although it only used to be two.

Re: If TFF had an amnesty/wildcard
I'd be Similar but 433.
De Gea,
Walker - Ward - Davies - Alonso
Son of Eric - Salah - Doucourt
Jesus - Lukaku - Kane
£0.4m to Daisey Chain
This would cost me 4 transfers in my typical team
Hmmm...

There was a good thread years ago called "yesterday's team syndrome" which iirc tried to judge when players had passed their usefulness peak and who were the up and comers....maybe I'll update this from time to time in a similar vein. It's a useful exercise to see where your teams are and how far they are from what you'd see as 'perfect'.

I have seven of those and I'm happy with my team. Of the four I haven't got (Ederson, Tarkowski
KDB, Mane), Tarkowski is interesting as he's so cheap but no reason to drop Valencia and don't need more cash yet.

Re: If TFF had an amnesty/wildcard
Be amazed if more than 3 of the teams posted here are in the top 11 scorers in October. Maybe 5 if you stretch to Xmas. The game is about transfers and optimising transfers. You have 40 and you need to gain circa 700 points from them. Spurs for example have a tough old run (look at their fixtures including Europe and the League Cup) - Soon see I guess

Re: If TFF had an amnesty/wildcard
.... yes but IF you could have an amnesty and start afresh who would you have in that xi???
Some will need to go at some stage but you have to start with 11 names.

Yep the rules are in the first post DS, who would you go for? With your record it'll be an interesting read.

Re: If TFF had an amnesty/wildcard
I would have liked to have had Ben Davies but as things stand with Spurs upcoming games I would sooner have someone else now.
