Trippier rotation

Post by joshchelseafc »

Thoughts for those of us trippier holders. Brought him in before the break them spurs went and signed aurier.

I'm thinking trips could play against dortmund then poch could ease aurier in against swansea. Got enough funds for hernandez tonight. Maybe some spurs fans could help me out here?

Last season the rotation wasn't as bad but I seem to remember the season before the fullbacks taking it in turns.

I posted some stats in this thread

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=124877

Last season wasn't so bad for rotationand the previous season Trippier started 18 matches (13 in the cups).

Does this tell us who is first choice (regardless of rotation)? Sadly not.

Aurier to play in Europe, Trippier to play in PL would be my guess

What did you decide? Hernandez a terrible option IMO.

Trippier is a HOLD until you see evidence to the contrary, but definitely not a BUY. Aurier came in on a five year contract so is definitely going to get his share of games. The lack of rotation last year was purely down to injuries to Walker and Rose I think. Previous season a better guide.

Like a lot of people I had Trippier in my original team but took a gamble on Kompany with the intention of getting Trippier when Kompany got injured. With Aurier signed I bottled the decision last week. Thinking Davies is the best bet now but Zappacosta is also an option. Anybody else have similar dilemma?

Was tempted by Spurs to replace Stephens where I can afford it. But...

Am I right in thinking-
LB is Trippier v Aurier
RB is Davies (cheap) v Rose (injured)
Sanchez is a cheap enough option if he keeps his place in a back 3.....

Is Sanchez likely to play most games?
