Week 14 - Red.
North London & Liverpool are both red after Super Sunday derby day saw the Gunners win 4-2 and Jordan Pickford have a bit of a nightmare as Liverpool scored in the 96th minute .... Jurgen Klopp playing a cameo in midfield in that game
Aubameyang scored 2 in the Arsenal game to win the race to 10 league goals this season. Man City managed a regulation 3-1 win v. Bournemouth, another goal for Sterling in that game means he's the first player in Premier League history to score in his first 6 appearances against a single opponent, and also the first player over the 100-point mark in TFF this season.

Continuing the red theme for this week, there were also 3 red cards around the grounds .... Capoue (Watford); Mounie (Huddersfield); Vertonghen (Spurs).

A quick look back at week 14 from last season (we must learn from history) sees Wayne Rooney scoring a hat-trick for Everton and 3 new managerial appointments .... Big Sam (Everton); David Moyes (West Ham) and Alan 'Dancing fool' Pardew (West Brom). It's very tight still at the bottom of the table but I can see managerial changes in our near future. Newcastle lost at home to the Hammers (0-3) to make it their worst start to a season at home since 1953-54, Fulham lost at Stamford Bridge to remain bottom, Burnley lost at Palace and Southampton drew 2-2 with Man United to also remain in the bottom 3. If Southampton are to stay up they really must hold on when leading against these mid-table teams

6 players scored double-figures in TFF this week, Aubameyang top-scoring with 15. Sterling is the first player over 100 points and is now 15 ahead of 2nd-placed Alonso on 87.

We have a new leader this week ....
Lead position up 60 to 959 points - averaging 68.5 pts/week .... Wanaker fc (Lee Turner)
100th up 48 to 852
1k up 53
10k up 49

Pretty good scoring so far this season, all of the tracked positions are ahead of the lines from last year and around 2,300 managers are ahead of the 55 points/week average .... but how are we all doing for transfers?

I've got a really stupid question for you brencarr. You call it week 14 but tff call it game week 17. I assume they are just literally counting every week since the start of the season irrespective of any games being played where as you just count the weeks with games. Is that the case?

And which should we base our 1 transfer a week overall plan on (40 week = 40 transfers)...lol! ;)

Week 15 - No clean sheets!
For the first time since November 2010 every team scored in this round of matches - the odds of that happening were 444/1 apparently .... no? Me neither.

'Mind the gaps' .... was also in the running for this week's title as there are some significant gaps appearing. Man City (2-1 at Watford) and Liverpool (3-1 at Burnley) both kept their unbeaten runs going but Chelsea lost (2-1) at Wolves  which means they are now down to 4th. Spurs beat managerless Saints (3-1) to move into 3rd but are 6 points behind Liverpool. Arsenal are 5th with Everton 8 points behind them.

The bottom 7 teams all failed to win which means West Ham (in 13th) pull 5 points clear of Newcastle. 14th and 20th are only separated by 4 points with the bottom 3 (Southampton, Burnley & Fulham) all on 9 points. After predicting the start of the managerial merry-go-round last week I can see more itchy-trigger-fingered chairmen in action before the year is over.

Lucas Perez scored a brace from the bench for the hammers in their 3-1 win, a game in which Fabianski saved his third consecutive Premier League penalty. Leicester drew 1-1 at Fulham, I only mention them because they have the wonderfully-named Çağlar Söyüncü playing in defence; by my reckoning that's a cedilla, a caron and 3 sets of umlauts - impressive name sir.

Now, regular readers (or those who read the earlier posts) will know that, whilst TFF game-weeks run from Tuesday-Monday, I count each set of 10 games as a 'week'; that way I/we can make sense of the average score and hopefully allow for TFF weeks like this one with 20 games, and F.A. Cup weeks etc. I hope that answers LenH's question - but thanks for pointing it out as I hadn't mentioned it yet this year :)

Only 5 players broke into double-figures this week ....
Lucas Perez 11
Fraser, Kane, Mahrez & Wilson all with 10. That 10 from Wilson moves him into 2nd place overall with 95 points .... Can anybody tell me why no matter how many points Callum Wilson gets and whatever his fixtures are he never features in any of my teams? (Spinynorman 4th Dec 2018) :)

Most teams prepared for the Christmas madness this week by having a bit of a rotation-fest, this was reflected in the scores.
Lead position up 22 to 981 points - averaging 65.4 pts/week .... Wanaker fc (Lee Turner)
100th up 37 to 889

Week 16 - Salah hat-trick
Liverpool's 4-0 win at Bournemouth and Man City's 2-0 loss at Chelsea means that Liverpool are the only unbeaten team remaining in the Premier League and are now top by 1 point; they also have an impressive 'goals against' of just 6 after 16 games. That Liverpool game also saw James Milner become only the 13th player to make 500 Premier League appearances. Spurs & Arsenal also won to keep the top 5 clear of the rest.
At the bottom of the table Cardiff beat Southampton and Burnley beat Brighton in games which will do both sides a power of good. Newcastle lost at home v. Wolves to keep the pressure on Rafa.

Much better scoring all-round after the midweek clean-sheet wipe-out, unsurprisingly Mo Salah top-scored with his hat-trick but as he is the most-owned player (63% of teams) none of us should have missed out .... :?:
Raheem Sterling is still the only player with 100+ points so far.

Very even scores for the weekend games ....

Week 17 - Braces are back in fashion .... as sported by Jesus, Shaqiri, Mkhitaryran & Ings.
Liverpool & Man city both won 3-1 (Man Utd & Everton respectively). In their win over United, Liverpool had 36 shots, the most the Red Devils have faced in a Premier League match since Opta started recording shot data in 2003-04 .... Pogba watched on from the bench as Fellaini & Matic strutted their stuff
Spurs grabbed a late winner to beat Burnley 1-0 and Chelsea beat Bournemouth 2-0 with Hazard on the score sheet. Arsenal lost 3-2 at Southampton in the upset of the weekend, that win for Saints dragged them out of the bottom 3. There were no draws this week, which is unusual .... probably.

Eight players broke double figures this week. Jesus (15) topped the list which is only appropriate during the festive season. Sterling is still the only centurion, with Salah, Robertson & Alonso on 98 and Hazard on 97.

No change at the top of the TFF leaderboard, but not great scoring either .... the lack of a Liverpool clean sheet no doubt had some influence.

Leader up 31 to 1,072 points - averaging 63.1 .... Wanaker fc (Lee Turner)
100th up 36
1k up 41
10k up 38

I did also note that the leader is 5 points behind the leader at this point last season, and that here are now fewer than 1,000 teams above the 55 pts/week guideline.

Week 18 - Half a Crown at Goodison
It's all about Liverpool this week as they win again (2-0 at Wolves) to extend their lead at the top of the table, thus ensuring they are top at Christmas - In eight of the past 10 seasons, the leaders on 25 December have gone on to win the Premier League title .... the 2 times the team didn't go on to win were both Liverpool  It also doesn't help that Dejan Lovren is quoted as saying they could now go through the whole season unbeaten!
On the other hand - Liverpool have won 25 league matches in 2018 - their most in a calendar year since 1990, when they also won 25 .... only two teams, Chelsea in 2005-06 (49) and Manchester City in 2017-18 (52), have had more points after 18 Premier League games in a season than Liverpool do (48).

Man City lost  .... at home :o .... to Palace  In that 3-2 win for Palace, Kyle Walker had an absolute 'mare and Andros Townsend scored an absolute stunner of a 30-yard volley which was still accelerating when it hit the net. Chelsea were another top-5 team to lose at home as they went down 1-0 to Leicester. Spurs took full advantage of those two defeats in the game of the round at Everton. Their 6-2 win saw them move 5 points clear of Chelsea and they are now only 2 points behind City, Son Heung-Min was the star of the show.
Another team who won big was Man United (I know!), they won 5-1 at Cardiff .... the first time they have scored 5 in a Premier League game since Sir Alex Ferguson's last game in charge, 5 years ago (5-5 draw at West Brom). I'm not sure which had more effect, the fact that they were playing lowly Cardiff or the fact that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now in charge at Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho's third-season-syndrome kicked in again. So long Maureen - I for one, will miss you :)

At the bottom the big winners were Southampton. Mark Hughes' replacement, Ralph Hasenhuttl is known as the 'Klopp of the Alps'. His sides 3-1 win at Huddersfield following on from their 3-2 defeat of Arsenal means he has got off to a great start.

12 players managed double figures this week, Son was top with 18 pts and there were 2 Man United players in there (Pogba & Lingard)!
Top of the season-long list is still Sterling, but only just. He had another quiet week and Salah scored again to close the gap. The Liverpool defence is also not far behind as they are having a wonderful season so far.

34 goals this 'week' which is high, plus 6 teams managed to keep a clean sheet. All of this meant that scores were high across the board ....
Leader up 56 to 1,128 points - averaging 62.7 .... still Wanaker fc (Lee Turner), but only 28 points cover the top 10 teams.

Week 19 - Half-way there.
Liverpool won again (Newcastle 4-0), and kept a clean sheet again - very impressive. I know we're only half-way through the season but IF they win their next 2 games, Arsenal (h) & Man City (a), then they would be very hard to stop .... if it's not too late already.
Man City lost at Leicester and have lost as many games in the last 4 days as they lost in the whole of last season - and they were ahead in both of them, not a very Merry Christmas at the Etihad. Spurs have got into the festive spirit though, their 5-0 thrashing of Bournemouth means they have scored 11 goals in 3 days .... Son scored 2 again but was overshadowed for man-of-the-match by Kyle Walker-Peters who had 3 x KCs along with his clean sheet. That win means Spurs move above City into 2nd spot.

In another high-scoring game, Everton beat Burnley 5-1 and in so doing became the first English team to score 7,000 top-flight goals. Everton's two Christmas games had an aggregate score of 7-7

At the bottom of the table we had the first ever Premier League match between two managers aged over 70. Neil Warnock's Cardiff and Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace played out a 0-0 draw .... I'm sure there's a joke or two there but I'll pass :)

Huddersfield lost their 5th game in a row and have replaced Fulham at the bottom of the table .... will Wagner make it to New Year as manager?

13 players broke double-figures this week - top scorer was the aforementioned KWP who got 16 points - taking his seasons total to 19 :)
Mo Salah's goal took him to the top of the season-long list

Lots of points for the second consecutive 'week' and we also have a new leader ....
Lead position up 67 to 1,195 points - averaging 62.9 .... Qwertyuiop (Paul Ferguson)

Week 20 - Firmino hat-trick
Liverpool marched impressively on with a 5-1 drubbing of Arsenal at Anfield, Man City got back to winning ways at Southampton (1-3) to regain 2nd spot after Spurs were shocked at home by Wolves (1-3), who are now up to 7th and are having a great season. Chelsea remain 4th with a 1-0 win at Palace and Man United's resurgence continued with a 4-1 win v. Bournemouth .... Pogba with his second brace of the week.

Strange goings-on at the foot of the table as 3 of the bottom 5 clubs won - Burnley 2-0 (West Ham); Cardiff 1-0 (at Leicester) & Fulham 1-0 at home to hapless Huddersfield. The Terriers are still only 5 points from safety but they have lost their last 7 games.

Paul Pogba was the top points-scorer of the TFF week (2 sets of games) with an impressive 27 points, Salah was second with 20, Firmino 19 and Etheridge 18 - the Cardiff goalkeeper saving his 3rd penalty of the season. Jonas Lössl also saved a pen v. Fulham in one of those oft-repeated situations where a striker sees his name up in lights and overrules team orders and takes the penalty .... and fails to score. Thankfully for Fulham Mitrovic scored a late winner but in his post-match interview mild-mannered Claudio Ranieri said he 'wanted to kill him' .... it may have been a translation thing .... but with the Thames so close to Craven Cottage, any repeat and Aboubakar Kamara could end up sleeping with the fishes

Looking at the graph you can see the red line (leader) is 40 points behind last years leader in week 20, and the blue line (100th position) is above last years mark (21 points). This means the top 100 is very close - just 74 points covers the lot, with 20 points covering the top 8. Unsurprising then that we have another new leader this week ....

Lead position up 44 to 1,239 points - averaging 62.0 .... Liver Birds A LBA (Stephen Buckley)

Week 21 - Liverpool finally lose
The final game of the festive period was 1st against 2nd at the Etihad with Man City winning a breathless encounter 2-1 to cut the gap at the top to 4 points. The game had everything, potential red-cards, possible penalties, posts were struck and a Goal Decision System ruling which meant City avoided going behind by 1.12 centimetres - that's about 7/16ths of an inch for us pre-decimal types

Liverpool may have finally lost a game this season but one run is still going - Spurs have not had a draw yet, they won 3-0 at Cardiff to remain in 3rd spot. Harry Kane's goal in that game means he has now scored against all 28 teams he has faced in the Premier League. Chelsea drew 0-0 at home to Southampton which is a further sign of Saints improvement under new management. Talking of which, with a 2-0 win at Newcastle, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became only the second Man United manager to win their first 4 league games .... Sir Matt Busby did so in 1946!

Arsenal beat Fulham 4-1 with Aubameyang on the scoresheet again; Wolves followed up their win at Spurs by losing at home to Palace; Deeney scored twice for Watford in a 3-3 draw v Bournemouth (3-3 at HT there); Arnautovic scored twice for West Ham on return in a 2-2 draw with Brighton and Huddersfield lost again and are now 8 points from safety.

Eleven players scored double-figures this week with Troy Deeney top-scoring with 14 points. Aubameyang's 13 & Kane's 10 points moved them above Sterling (5) in to 2nd & 3rd respectively in the season-long standings (on 125); Salah still leads the way on 130.

I had to double-check the scores this week as they were so close to last weeks .... and we have a 'new' leader, welcome back Lee Turner....

Lead position up 44 to 1,283 points - averaging 61.1 .... Wanaker FC (Lee Turner)
100th up 46 to 1,211
1k up 46

As a bonus this week - a little reminder that one shouldn't give up hope if you're languishing well outside the top 1,000. The extra line on the graph is Dead Parrot's winning effort from 2 years ago. It's not an exact comparison as obviously circumstances are different each year but you get an idea how far behind he was - and that anything can happen in the next few months. There now follows 4 glorious days of FA Cup mayhem .... use those transfers wisely.

Week 22 - FA Cup third round (proper :))
Most Premier League managers went in for some level of squad rotation this weekend, some faired better than others. Spurs and Man City both won 7(seven) - 0, a hat-trick for Llorente in the Spurs game at Tranmere - seven different scorers for City (v Rotherham) which shared some TFF points around, very handy on what was a low-scoring 'week'.

6 (six) Premier League teams can now 'concentrate on the league' .... Bournemouth (1-3 v Brighton), Cardiff (1-0 at Gillingham), Fulham (1-2 v Oldham), Huddersfield (1-0 at Bristol City), Leicester (2-1 at Newport  ) & Liverpool (2-1 at Wolves). Replays for Newcastle & Southampton.

Llorente was the top points-scorer of the round with his hat-trick (and a KC) but as he's owned by 0.1% of players it won't have made too much difference. Sterling's goal & KC moved him back to the top of the season-long points chart with 133.

Low scores for the FA Cup games across the board. We now have just 66 pts between 1st and 100th place, and only 10 pts covers the top 7, so no surprise we have another 'new' leader this week

Lead position up 20 to 1,303 points - averaging 59.2 .... Qwertyuiop (Paul Ferguson)

Week 23 - The Schürrle pearler
Struggling Fulham scored 3 goals in the opening 23 minutes at Turf Moor - the first was a sensational strike by Andre Schürrle - unfortunately the other 2 were own goals  That's never a good thing, but when you're stuck in the bottom 3 it's a nightmare. Huddersfield managed to get their first point in 9 matches but a 0-0 draw at Cardiff wasn't enough to keep David Wagner his job and he & Huddersfield have 'parted company', in what they describe as a 'truly joint decision' .... the caretaker/new manager has the visit of Man City to look forward to next week! Newcastle lost 2-1 at Chelsea and make up the bottom three. Huddersfield are now 8 points from safety and need something special to happen judging by their next few fixtures.

At the top, leaders Liverpool won 1-0 at Brighton (Salah - of course) and Man City kept the gap to 4 points by beating Wolves 3-0. They were both potentially tricky fixtures but City got a helping hand when Boly was sent off after 19 minutes. OGS's Man United are still flying high - DDG was the hero at Wembley with 11 saves to keep Spurs out. Pogba & Rashford combined for the latter to score in his 3rd consecutive Premier League game. United are now level on points with Arsenal (6th & 5th) who lost at West Ham, £2.4m defender Declan Rice with the goal. In that game there was a farewell wave from Marco Arnautovic who thinks he is off to fulfil every boys childhood dream and play for Shanghai SIPG  .... maybe the reported £200k per week for 4 years helped a little.

In other news - Lionel Messi scored his 400th La Liga goal this week .... in his 435th league game!

Only 6 players broke double figures this week and they're not the usual suspects .... top scorers with 12 were Gabriel Jesus (2 goals) & the aforementioned Declan Rice; 11 for Kurt Zouma and 10 points each for Shane Long, Lucas Digne & Aymeric Laporte. I don't believe I have any of them in any of my 6 teams  Joint top of the season-long points race are Salah & Sterling on 138 points.

You could still throw a blanket over the top 10 at the head of the TFF ladder and we have a new leader for the 4th week in a row. Take a bow Neil Carrington - his team, FrankieFrog8, was top of the pile when the music stopped this week.

Lead position up 51 to 1,354 points - averaging 58.9 .... FrankieFrog8 (Neil Carrington)
100th up 52 to 1,289
1k up 50
10k up 48

The leader is 50+ points behind last years leader in week 23, the 100th place team is around 18 points ahead of the curve .... it's tight at the top.

Week 24 - Jota hat-trick
There were 7 goals this week which were scored after the 90 minute mark, one of them was Diogo Jota's winner in the 4-3 thriller v. Leicester which moved Wolves ahead of the Foxes into 8th place - Conor Coady scored his 2nd o.g. in consecutive matches in that game, which is at best careless.
Another game with a late winner and an own goal was at Craven Cottage, the late winner was scored by an 'Arry for Spurs, this time it was Winks and not Kane but it was a cruel blow for Fulham .... in that game Dele Alli limped off to add to Spurs' injury list and there was a goal-scoring return for Fernando Llorente - unfortunately it was for Fulham!
There were 2 late, late goals at Anfield where Liverpool beat Palace 4-3, in that game Liverpool became only the third club to score 1,000 home Premier League goals (Man United & Chelsea), Mo Salah scored his 50th Premier League goal in his 72nd appearance, only Andrew Cole (65), Alan Shearer (66) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (68) have reached the milestone in fewer appearances; Salah's 2nd goal in that game clearly indicated that Julian Speroni has him in his Fantasy Football team(s)!
Newcastle had a good week, they won their FA Cup replay and also beat fellow strugglers Cardiff 3-0 to move above them and out of the bottom three, 2 goals and a clean sheet for Fabian Schär in that game saw him nearly double his points for the season

Chelsea were the only team in the top 6 to lose, going down 2-0 at Arsenal. After that game Sarri said his players are "extremely difficult to motivate", not (I would have thought) the best excuse to offer the chairman. Another side who are apparently difficult to motivate are Man United - well, for some managers anyway - but not for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who became the first Manchester United manager to win his first six league games in charge as his side held on to beat Brighton .... Pogba & Rashford looking like must-haves at the moment.
Man City kept the pressure on Liverpool with a 3-0 win at bottom-placed Huddersfield, a game in which they scored their 100th goal in all competitions this season. The Terriers are effectively 12 points from safety and look doomed but have still managed to attract Jan Siewert from Borussia Dortmund as their replacement for David Wagner - good luck Jan.

There were 15 double-figure points-scorers this week thanks to a couple of replays, Fabian Schär topped the list with 21 points, Jota's hat-trick netted him 16 pts and 2nd spot. Salah's brace moved him to 150 points at the top of the season-long table.

This is the first week for a while that we haven't had a new leader ....

Week 25 - F.A. Cup 4th round
Arsenal v. Man United got the weekend off to a flying start with OGS securing his 8th win from 8 games with a 3-1 win on the Friday night.... could they possibly give the full-time job to anybody else?
Man City cruised past Burnley with a 5-0 win, Chelsea won 3-0 v Sheffield Wednesday but Spurs went down 2-0 at Palace .... they have now exited 2 cup competitions in 4 days (League Cup semi v Chelsea), they've certainly missed Kane, Son and Alli.

Apart from the losers in the all-Premier League ties there were also 2 casualties at the hands of lower-league opposition. Everton lost 3-2 at Millwall and West Ham were beaten 4-2 at Wimbledon. There are 2 replays involving TFF clubs so there will be a maximum of 7 left in for the 5th round ties in week 29. That could be a tough week with no Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal etc... the draw is tomorrow and a favourable home draw for one or two of the top sides could be very helpful with transfer planning, especially with Man City now having their league game with Everton brought forward to week 28

Chelsea; Crystal Palace; Man City; Man United; Watford
Wolves or Shrewsbury
West Brom or Brighton

Only 9 TFF players got into double figures this week and they all came from one of 3 clubs, Man City, Chelsea or Palace. KDB & Bernardo Silva top-scored with 13 points each .... top of the 6-week form guide at the moment ... Son Heung-Min (told you they've missed him).

With no Liverpool and only 3 teams providing double figure points-scorers it was a low-scoring week ....
Leader up 31 to 1,451 points - averaging 58.0 .... FrankieFrog8 (Neil Carrington)
100th up 30 to 1,373

10k up 27

Week 26 - Sorry Sarri
The top 6 all struggled this week but none more than Chelsea who suffered their biggest league loss in 22 years as they lost 4-0 at Bournemouth.
Man City scored after 24 seconds at Newcastle but slipped to a 2-1 defeat - their first loss v. Newcastle in 22 matches since 2005 (W19, D3). This defeat gave Liverpool the chance to increase their lead at the top of the table at home to Leicester .... they did, but dropped 2 points in a 1-1 draw.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's 100% record went in a 2-2 draw at home to Burnley, United needing a last-gasp equaliser to avoid defeat.
Spurs snatched victory from the jaws of defeat at home to Watford .... Son Heung-Min (I told you they missed him) & Llorente (not so much) with a goal each in the last 10 minutes to win 2-1.
Arsenal also won 2-1 (v. Cardiff) with Aubameyang scoring his 16th of the season - he's now joint top goal scorer in the (TFF) competition with Salah - one ahead of Kane.

At the foot of the table, Huddersfield look even deeper in trouble after a 1-0 home loss v. Everton, they are now 12 points from safety and look doomed, they are 6 points behind next-to-bottom Fulham who beat Brighton 4-2. Newcastle's win moved them up to 14th, a point ahead of Burnley and Palace & Southampton, who drew 1-1 at St. Mary's with James Ward-Prowse scoring in his 3rd consecutive league game. Zaha was shown a 2nd yellow in that 1-1 draw for applauding the ref just after he'd shown him his 1st yellow card - that pretty much sums up his playing style too .... good with his feet but doesn't use his head much

Nine players made it into double figures this week, Mitrovic & King topping the list with 15 points each.
Salah remains top of the season-long list with 152 pts, 3 ahead of Sterling and 6 ahead of Aubameyang.

None of the top 6 sides kept a clean sheet this week, in fact only 3 teams did .... Bournemouth, Everton & Wolves (who beat West Ham 3-0). This no doubt contributed to another week of moderate scores as this season continues to drop further behind last years totals ....

Leader up 31 to 1,482 points - averaging 57.0 .... FrankieFrog8 (Neil Carrington)
100th up 42 to 1,415

Not sure I've ever seen a leaderboard stuffed with so many good players so early in the season. I think whoever wins it will already be there and it'll come down to an adequate transfer balance and using them well, rather than a tortoise steaming through.

Week 27 - Aguero hat-trick
Aguero scored in the first minute for the 2nd game this week and this time there was no slip up as City beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Etihad. Aguero's was a perfect hat-trick .... header .... right foot ....and left errr, arm :?
Liverpool 'slipped-up' again as they drew 1-1 at West Ham, Mane again giving them the lead only to be pegged back. The reds have only won 2 of their last 5 games and their lead at the top of the table is now only 3 points over City.

Spurs also had a 'Groundhog Day' of their own as Son Heung-Min scored in a narrow win, this time 1-0 over Newcastle at Wembley, they have not had a Premier League draw for a record 29 league games. Spurs are just 2 points behind City and 7 ahead of 4th-placed Chelsea. It seems to be a 3-horse race at the moment.

Chelsea had a better second match in the (TFF) game week making up for their 4-0 loss midweek with a 5-0 win over Huddersfield - Hazard & Higuain with a brace apiece. Rashford scored his 10th of the season in a 1-0 win at Leicester to make it 10 unbeaten for Man United under OGS.

At the foot of the table, Huddersfield's 5-0 loss keeps them rooted to the bottom with Fulham also losing (2-0 at Palace) in 19th place. Cardiff's 2-0 win v. Bournemouth moves them closer to Burnley & Southampton who drew 1-1 with each other - only 5 points covers 13th to 18th.

It was a double game week for TFF this week so it's difficult for me to split the scores for these 10 matches but Aguero was top scorer with his hat-trick. Sterling got 2 x KCs in the City win and a second Salah blank means Sterling moves to the top of the season-long list with 157 .... 3 ahead of Salah.

It was a high-scoring set of 10 games this (my) 'week' with impressive scores all around, not least for our new leader .... Jamie Baer. Liverpool drawing 1-1 in consecutive games will no doubt have contributed to the shake-up at the top as they have only had one clean sheet since Boxing Day  and also missed out on the FA Cup weekend .... there are decisions to be made .... is it wise to switch horses mid-race :?:

Next week starts with 2 FA Cup replays (involving Wolves & Brighton), and an extra Premier League game, Everton v Man City

Lead position up 75 to 1,557 points - averaging 57.7 .... Law 1 (Jamie Baer)
100th up 59 to 1,474
1k up 55
10k up 53

I've decided to add the top 10 from here on in, a bit earlier than last season but it will be interesting to see the ebb and flow .... I wonder if the winner is on there yet - that's rhetorical - no replies necessary

1) .... 1,557 .... Jamie Baer .............. Law 1
2) .... 1,545 .... Tim Buss ................ Starfire
3) .... 1,545 .... David Browne ..........Striker's Centurions
4) .... 1,542 .... David Browne ..........Relegated at 3 O'Clo
5) .... 1,541 .... Neil Carrington ........FrankieFrog8
6) .... 1,537 .... Mark Place .............. Ron's rover return a
7) .... 1,530 .... Andrew Luckhurst ...1
8) .... 1,529 .... Stephen Buckley ......Liver Birds A LBA
9) .... 1,525 .... Jamie Baer .............. Law 8
10) .. 1,524 .... David Parker ........... ENABLE

I'm impressed that after all that online dating the bear has found a lady who's even better at TFF than him. That must take some powerful algorithms.

Jamie Lee Curtis is a girl....well kind of anyway.

My apologies to the Baer family, genuine mistake. (And even in my scenario I knew it was Bruce behind the wheel).

So guys, without (hopefully) appearing too precious - can we maybe delete our posts of this little journey into 'on-line dating' so we can keep the thread football related? :)

You're wrong there. Bruce's son Jamie drives his own team. Bruce definitely wants to beat him.

Will move the off-chat if absolutely necessary, main point here is that Bruce's son is doing better than him at the moment.
