Handy tool
Hi guys
I was bored and had some spare time at work, so knocked up a handy little fixture tracker based against weighted teams, with colour coding for ease on the eye
http://www.orangecactus.co.uk/tff/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Works very similar to brams but I prefer to be able to visualise the easy streaks that are coming up for certain teams or to see the extras games. You can also click on the checkbox next to each team to highlight just their fixtures, again, nice and easy to visualise.
The weighting is based on last seasons final table:
1. Top 4 teams - RED
2. 5 - 8 teams - ORANGE
3. 9 - 12 teams - YELLOW
4. 13 - 16 teams - GREEN
5. 17 and promoted teams - BLUE
I can easily adjust them as the season goes on and we start to see teams become tricker or easier through future results. I will also adjust the fixtures when they start to get reshuffled and add in the FA cup games once we know.
My next step is to be able to select your team and it work out the days where you don't have any players playing, just to see if there are runs of empty games where a handy transfer might help.
Anyway, I find it handy, so thought someone else may as well
Tom

Cheers for sharing Tom. As always people will talk about ratings, home/away etc but anything that adds insight is a good thing. Nice stuff (now get back to work...he says whilst avoiding work himself!)

Noticed that my mouse wheel scrolls left to right on it rather than up and down. Weird.

How about a little colour code list on the page? My memory isn't the best these days.

Nice one.
If you could an option customise the colours? That would make it really good.

I must have my font too big because I need to scroll down to see West Ham if I'm looking at Arsenal!

Re: Handy tool
What about maybe 2 colours in each box so we can see last seasons top 4 Vs last seasons promoted, for example. If that's possible, just an idea.

Re: Handy tool
I could try this but I think it may suddenly become a dulux colour chart very quicklyV1CAR wrote:What about maybe 2 colours in each box so we can see last seasons top 4 Vs last seasons promoted, for example. If that's possible, just an idea.

Re: Handy tool
would it be possible to add sound effects ?
I am thinking popping champagne corks for the easy games, the rattling of chains for the hard ones ideally playing when I look at the relevant teams.

Re: Handy tool
Maybe an eyeball tracker sensor thing that can give off a warning signal (the sound when you get one wrong on Family Fortunes?) if you are looking at a dodgy fixture??Knulpuk wrote:would it be possible to add sound effects ?

And, of course, the Countdown clock for those of us who leave our transfers late.

I hadn't realised what good run Liverpool now have. Perhaps I should bring in Sterling for Ramsey, after all.

Nice stuff, I pay to be a member of fantasy football scout as I love their season ticker widget.

Re: Handy tool
A nice upgrade on my one, great job and thanks for sharing.
My only comment and this is just my personal preference is that I wouldn't have the whole fixture in the box as it makes it harder to read at a glance (for me), so Arsenal playing at Chelsea today would just be "che" (in lower case to show away game).
