First choice penalty takers

Post by Windy »

Was thinking specifically Chelsea now Framk's gone but would be useful to compile a list. It would be Hazard, right? Wasn't sure whether Costa might fancy it?

I do wonder this with Stoke too. If Walters is gonna be more out than in the starting XI, then Adam could prove worthy of a steal.

What's everyone's opinions on Bojan. 2 goals in 2 games.

My view some players just wanna be loved and arm around them and I think he's on rod these and could be in for a good season

Worth a gamble I'd say. Stoke are more attack minded now. Bojan worth a punt but I will just be watching once the season starts.

Didn't Mata take one in the last game for United with Pogba on the pitch?

Barkley took Chelsea’s pen today with all but Willian (per above) on the pitch. He was on my watchlist already.

Wouldn't read too much into that. I'd be surprised if Mata gets a lot of games this season. Of course Pogba might not be around either. Raashford took the big one in Paris so might get the job next up.

I think rashford should take them. He is confident but not arrogant like Pogba, and the more goals he scores the better he will be.

That makes him a very interesting option if so...

This was fairly prescient! Lots of papers reporting Rashford is now the designated taker.

Any changes to the above list based on the first few games?
