Amsterdam + Brussels

Copenhagen + Munich
Bucharest + Budapest

St Petersburg and Baku

Or will they try and put Spain playing all 3 matches in Bilbao and Italy all 3 matches in Rome ??

Just seems to give a huge advantage in your group if two sides are hosts ???
If they split it non-geographically so 2 teams from the same group are hosts (eg Bucharest + Bilbao) then who gets the game between the 2 hosts?? Can only do that split anyway by allocating hosts after the draw.

What will happen regarding automatic qualifiers, if anything? If neither the (opening game) hosts, nor the holders, qualify automatically, what will the opening match be? :?

The banker qualifiers are obviously Spain, Italy, Germany, Holland, Belgium, (hopefully) England and perhaps Russia. Then there's the maybes - Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Romania, Hungary and (long shot) Azerbaijan. Assuming qualifying host teams play in their own country at least once, will they have to wait and see who qualifies before planning the logistics. Or just have 13 teams in by right and the winners of 11 groups to join them?

Have you not forgotten the Euro Nations League ???

All the mickey mouse countries play each other and the winner gets into the Euros !!!!

the 54 UEFA national teams will be divided into four divisions: 12 teams in Division A, 12 teams in Division B, 14 teams in Division C, and 16 teams in Division D. For the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League, teams will be divided according to their UEFA national team coefficients, with the highest-ranked teams playing in Division A, etc.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018%E2%80 ... ons_League" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The 2018–19 UEFA Nations League will be linked with UEFA Euro qualifying, providing teams another chance to qualify for UEFA Euro 2020. The main qualifying process will now begin in March 2019 instead of immediately in September 2018 following the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and will end in November 2019. The format will remain largely the same, although only 20 of the 24 spots for the finals tournament will be decided from the main qualifying process, leaving four spots still to be decided. The 54 teams will be divided into 10 groups (six groups of five teams and four groups of six teams), with the top two teams in each group qualifying.

Each Nations League division will be allocated one of the four remaining UEFA Euro 2020 places. Four teams from each division which have not already qualified for the Euro finals will compete in the play-offs for each division, to be played in March 2020. The play-off berths will be first allocated to each pool winner, and if any of the pool winners have already qualified for the Euro finals, then to the next best ranked team of the division, etc. If in any division, there are fewer than four teams which have not already qualified for the Euro finals, the play-off berths will be allocated to the next best ranked team of the following division, etc. The winners of the play-offs for each division, to be decided by two "one-off" semi-finals and one "one-off" final, will join the 20 teams which have already qualified for the Euro finals. This means at least one team from each Nations League division will be guaranteed to qualify for the Euro finals.

Oh great just what we need

Another Summer tournament in odd years :roll: :roll:

The four pool winners of Division A will qualify for the "final four competition", to be played in June 2019 with the winner of the final round crowned as the Nations League champions.
